Thuren Leveling Kit - Worse than stock what could be the issue?

Here is my 2 cents which is probably worth zero.

If a product such as the kit mentioned above is supposed to make the ride quality better then it should do that without changing air pressure. Changing air pressure should then enhance the already improved ride quality.

To me the message above is a little BS, I mean lowering the pressure to 35 psi should make the ride better without the kit that was installed. That is not a fix.

If it were me and I wanted to get to the bottom of this I would go back to stock as much as possible, get a baseline on ride quality and then start adding stuff one at a time.

If you get back to stock and still have the same issue that you know it is not the kit..

Continuing to throw money at the issue based on other peoples experience or marketing writeups could be a loosing game.

Again my 2 cents...

This Thuren's response to me after them requesting pictures of my install and questions about the Sway bar:

Pretty much what everyone on this board is saying.. I'll buy the Sway bar later this year and after looking at install videos seems pretty easy to install myself.

Before you buy the front sway bar try driving around with no sway bar at all. I ran a Thuren on my 2020 Limited Hemi and loved it. I was a big opponent to running no front sway bar for a long time, insisting that it wouldn’t handle safely without one. When I got my 2023 Rebel I was convinced to give it a shot with no bar at all so I pulled it off and did some testing, and found that the stock radius arms provide more than enough roll stiffness on their own. Running with no front bar felt nearly the same as it did with the Thuren bar, and was $500+ cheaper. As mentioned above, unless you’re running a big heavy truck camper or some other super heavy in-bed load you really don’t need a front sway bar.

You guys are on a wild goose chase. The truck rides the way it does because of the vulcanized bushings which gives the suspension its stiffness. Have yet to see anybody with aftermarket rear control arms and bushings

Agreed. That is kind of my point above.

Ride quality is important to me so when I do these type of modification I do them in steps. I drive the truck (stock) for a few K miles to get my baseline. Add the lift and drive some more, if I am happy I will add the tires/wheels, drive some more, if I am happy, add sway bar..... you get the point.
This way if I get a vibration or something else I don't like I have a good idea what introduced the issue. I also keep all the stock parts I removed until I am 100% positive I am happy and am done with the modifications.

Yea, In hindsight I should have just added the 1.75 rough country blocks to get the level I wanted for $200 instead of the $1,500 spent on Thuren leveling kit, if airing down the tires is the solution to a better ride. It would have been the solution with either option. Oh well, you live and learn.

You and I may have conversed on this topic. I just have not pulled the trigger. Your statement may reignite my endeavor.
