The Other Vehicle

Do you have plans for an on-board pressure washer? This always seemed like a draw back with the toy-hauler type trailers.
So far, no. Once the mud dries, I can blow it out with the battery blower pretty well. The oil and fluid leaks from the sh!tbox are the worse part but the pig mats (actually oileater brand from Amazon) keep the stuff absorbed pretty well so I can just spot clean those still

I didn't go through all 31 pages or 612 posts, but here is our other vehicle;

How's that for extremes a Diesel 2500 RAM and an electric car :)

I love purpose-built vehicles. Kind of the reason my stable is always changing. There's something to be said for the "right tool for the job", whatever that may be at the time.

An EV for a commuter makes great sense -- especially if you have free charging at work!

Yeah I agree, I drive a '16 Tesla S P90D about half the time, my Ram the other half, I think I posted the Tesla earlier on this thread. Enjoy getting in and driving both of them. The EV is amazing, especially if you like tech, and especially if you like acceleration.

We recently upgraded my wife from a Chevy Bolt EUV to an Equinox EV before the tax credit expired and now I daily the Bolt. They make great commuter cars, especially with what utility rates are here in Alabama.

How many miles on that P90D and what are your charging habits?

108,000. I charge at home every night with a Tesla wall charger, scheduled to start at 1 or 2 am. Depends on my plans for the day, if a normal commute/local day I charge to 65-70% (even my "local" days can be over 100 miles), if I'm heading somewhere charge to 80-90%.

Because of the age my range is reduced from when new, I get about 220 miles max, a bit less as it gets colder out.

Most days I end up with 25-40% charge left at the end of the day. Last night I was down to 10% when I pulled into my driveway.

Great data points! What was your max mileage when new? Sounds like your battery still has TONS of life.

How often do you charge to 100%, if ever?
