My hood makes a gap above the black plastic piece inserted in the hole when it is hot. Anyone else have this problem? The truck is brand new, not about to let the dealer order a new hood and paint it to swap out.
It’s multiple parts but they’re plastic welded together, so it comes out as one unit. There’s tabs and slots on the hood and the plastic bit that mate up.
Checked it cool this morning and same gap, gonna take it out in a while. Your thoughts are that that hood should be clipped to the top of the plastic insert?
Isn’t that where the two bolts go into?
Does the plastic come out under the hood or outside over the hood?
