A bit of back story.....
Local tire shop matched Amazon's price on Faulken A/T3W in 285/75r18 for $232 each, so I pulled the trigger.
During the install on the stock 18" aluminum rims, the worker pried the factory plastic center caps out......rather than push out from he back side.
This broke a center cap, and mangled the hub area of the factory rims......gouged way into the metal.
The manager was on it and immediately said I could have 4 new OEM rims......yes, the guy mangled all 4 rims.....or any aftermarket wheels I want.

So, been researching a bit.
My truck is a 2019 3500 SRW HO Laramie with factory rear air bags.
I use the truck to haul fairly often to right at the max payload of 4000lbs.....maybe at times a bit over. I also tow a 39' 5th wheel with pin weight ranging 2800-3200lbs depending on the trip.
So, first, stay with the factory forged wheels for strength? Most aftermarket seem to be cast and top out at 3700lbs capacity each....???
I don't want the BroDozer look, but would not mind the tires to be a bit closer to the factory flares, not quite as tucked in.
If I go aftermarket.....I am looking at 18X9 +18 offset. My understanding is that should get the tires flush with the factory flairs.....move wheel out between 1-2", and I should still have no issue with rubbing with 285/75r18 tires....
I am looking at some Method wheels I like the look of. I want something with a good finish.....that will last. I keep trucks 10+ years.....

All that said....thoughts?
Other highly rated wheel brands? Method seems well reviewed and their customer support seems good.
Thanks guys!

I bought 18x8 +20 Fuel Vectors. Look is perfect imo. The wheels were ok even though they got lost, damaged and took forever to make it right. But the center caps are horribly designed. There isn't enough clearance between the centerbore, axle hub and center cap retention springs. I would look really close at what/who you you give your/their money to. Seems to me like Fuels hiring engineers with Cracker Jacks prize Degrees. No exp with method 20200521_112026.jpg

If I were shopping with someone else's money, I'd be looking at Method, Raceline or Icon. All have options in the 4k weight rating.
Thanks, yeah, those are my top picks so far. I have read a bit that Raceline may have had some finish issues....mainly in chrome....
I like the Method 315 machined......capacity is like 3700 on those.....I don't mind a little bit of black on a wheel, but I'm a bit old school and like a little shine.....
ICON Rebound Titanium look interesting as well.

Method makes some HD models with 4500 lb rating. I tow heavy also, and have a set of Method 305 NV HD matte black on order. I couldn't find other wheels with a rating as high.

I don't have experience with Method wheels yet, but several buddies do. It seems that once people try them they stick with them. (one of my buddies runs a trophy truck in SCORE and was in several races this year including the Baja 500; he has run them for years on everything he drives on and off road. He tries all kinds of tires, but won't use anything else for wheels)

EDIT: I'm thinking of chrome lug nuts to add a bit of contrast. And, I will be swapping the lip nuts from zinc to stainless.

I just spent a lot of time looking at wheels. I will echo what was said above. Method, Raceline, or Icon. I was looking at 17" x 9 (+18 or +20) so my options were limited. I had 5 Racelines delivered last night. Good luck with the search.

@Brewbud - which models of Raceline did you go with?

I went with the 929 Avenger in black. I bought them from CJC. CJC has an exclusive on the +20 offset for that wheel.

@Brewbud - nice looking wheels!

I looked on CJC site and it looks like they only have them in 17x9 for RAMS. Do they also have them in 18x9?
What tires are you going with?

The concern I had when looking, and that the OP will have, is most 17x9 tires are less than the 125 load rating (3640lbs) of the OEM's. For heavy towing, I don't think one should go less than that.
I ended up looking at 18x9 wheels to get at least the 125 rating or higher that many 18" tires have. (ie, LT295/70R18 are typically load rating 129 or 4080lbs)

let us know, thanks!

929s are more of an offroad wheel and I believe they are only in 17". Raceline has 18s in other styles. I actually like the look of the Boost 949s more, but they don't make them in 17" for HD trucks. They do in 18s but not with the offset I wanted. Wanting 17s really limited my options.

I don't tow often - maybe my Jeep a couple of times a year, But it isn't a trailer queen so it gets driven most places. At 3640lbs the Raceline wheels exceed my rear axle rating of 6000Lbs. Tires for me will most likely be 35" or 37" Toyos or Nittos. Weight capacities are in the 3525lb to 4300lb range (Load 125 -131). Really, the only reason I am even thinking about 35s is the ease of stowing the spare. I am not worried about the capacity of the tires or wheels. I have been running 37s on my 2007 for 13 years now and they have done everything I have asked of them. If I was going to tow a lot I would set up differently. Then again, I would have gone for a 3500.

Looks like I have settled on the Method 315 w/machined finish.
My truck has the chrome front, and I am going to embrace the shine! I like the sort of classic bead-lock look......
I'll post picks when done.
Now to save for the Thuren 1".....with factory rear air, that will get me about level......

only issue could be with the 17 instead of 18 or larger is sidewall flex towing...my 02 has 315 with 16 rims and I can feel that sidewall
