I'm looking at ordering a 2500 Ram. Comparing a Laramie with the 6.4 how I would want it to a Power Wagon how I would want it the price is very close. I don't currently do any heavy off roading and here in Alabama I'm not sure there are many trails a heavy duty would fit down. I do need to tow just shy of 10k a few times a year and I tow about 4k regularly. I really like the look of the Power Wagon and I could do more off roading on my annual trip out west if I had one but I'm sure the Laramie would tow better with it's higher payload and tow rating.
When trying to do a pros and cons list the thing I'm really not sure of is if the Power Wagon might have better resale value kind of like a Rubicon Wrangler tends to hold it's value a little better than a standard Wrangler. I've searched the forums and other places and haven't found any info on this. Do any of you know if there's any difference in how well these two trucks hold their value? I do tend to keep my trucks for 7-10 years.
