21 Ram 2500 diesel. Who make the best battery now?

One that can be swapped out under warranty if need be. I buy batteries local for that reason, just in case. Sorry for not answering your question.

Costco Kirkland batteries for the warranty. 4 year full replacement then prorated for the next 5 years.

Did they change recently or are differences based on where you’re located?

Costco here (Utah) sells Interstate with a straight 3 year free replacement warranty. In fact I haven’t seen a battery with a warranty prorate in a very long time, pretty much all manufacturers have seemed to move away from that.

Costco Canada sells the Kirkland Batteries. This is the warranty from their website.

Costco in California has interstate. Walmart has a agm ever start with a 4 yr free replacement. It appears to be make by Clarios.

I've been a fan of Walmart Everstart Maxx batteries for quite a while now. Very reasonably priced, I've had good luck with them in boats and cars and trucks. No idea who makes them.

If you travel outside the big cities and really need a Costco battery replacement, such as you're in Moab, Utah, the nearest Costco is 182 miles away in Spanish Fork. We have one (1) Costco on the Western Slope of Colorado an area in size larger than Pennsylvania. In nearby Wyoming there's no Costco in the entire state.

The Western Slope's Costco is in Gypsum, Colorado at 225 miles from Moab which is closer to Denver than anywhere else.

NAPA and O'Reilly batteries we use due to there are stores closer to our home and across the country. Walmarts are only located in the small cities. Our closest Walmart is a Neighborhood store which doesn't stock vehicle batteries.

Another vote for walmart batteries. The AGM's that i put in my truck a few months ago were made by East Penn i believe.

Walmart everstart platinum AGM. 36mo free replacement and never further than an hour drive to get it replaced.

Looks like the Everstart Platinum batteries are now offering a 4yr warranty...just my luck I had to jump start my 22 this morning. Ran across this thread.
Best bang for the buck in our area...checked all the usual suspects and Costco has the same CCA and the same price ($180), but only a 3yr prorated warranty...and living in the south, there are Wally Worlds everywhere.

Bingo! The fact that I can count on a Walmart to be near within an hour drive of me while I am camping, hunting, hiking etc is huge.

I recently swapped in two Duralasts (4yr warranty) from Autozone.

At 112 MPH from Moab, Utah it's around 1 hour to the nearest Walmart in Cortez or Grand Junction, Colorado. Not sure what MPH is needed from Ely, Nevada to the nearest Walmart to within an hour. Small towns in the rural western Mountain States don't have Walmarts nearby.

IMHO not interstate. I’ve only been getting 3 years out of 94R’s from them, 2 in a row.

Well that sucks.. Lead Acid or AGM? I just put AGMs in my truck from Costco.

On Average, 90% of the US is within 10 Miles of a Walmart... So I guess @Bull Creek is in the 10% that is not. Sorry about that, I guess you have beauty over proximity.
The Western Slope of Colorado where we reside is larger in size than the state of Pennsylvania with 162 Walmarts compared to our 14 Walmarts. Our nearest is a neighborhood Walmart. Doesn't stock batteries. It's 50 minutes/ 40 miles mountainous driving one way.

Our 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 OEM battery failed quickly last October near the City of Leadville, Colorado while towing a 10K lb GVWR trailer up Tennessee Pass. It was working great with no issues, so I didn't replace it. Thought about it, but it started great. The 66RFE transmission's ECM received too low of voltage due to the battery failure and so the transmission failed too per the transmission shop. Both were replaced. Limped back home without 4th, 5th, and 6th gears. Learned my lesson that driving with a bad battery can destroy the transmission. Didn't know that the battery failed until I turned off the truck and was only seeing around 9 volts.

No Walmarts in the city of Leadville, but there's an O'Reilly Auto Parts and possibly a NAPA. We got an AGM from O'Reilly via a road crew's help. No cellphone service where we broke down on US 24. Verizon coverage is 99% of the population, but not so in rural areas.

Guess you should move....

Sounds like you are frustrated, perhaps talk to a professional or a trust adult about your frustions with the area you choose to live.

The OP asked about batteries, not retailer store placement relative to your address.
