Re-Ordered My 2020 Ram 3500 HO Laramie Longhorn

Had my wife take a look at the letter as she worked with documents for over 40 yrs. She said it's nothing to get worked up over, very generic letter that basically said, hey we know your waiting on it but with the pandemic there could be a slight delay over extra precautionary measures. Good news is for us, she is normally right. Bad news for me, she is normally right.

I've actually decided, I'm going to start calling ram care everyday. They said after it left saltillo they wouldn't have any new info until it got to dealer. So I figure if it gets to the dealer an it's damaged, the dealership won't tel me its there until they fix it, so I'll call ram care everyday to keep dealer on there toes.

When you Text and Call RamCares they can only read the computer screen and calling them to often may only Pi$$ them off I think. The only way I know is one of is the two things I mentioned in the PM the other day except for the way you have to go about it. However I don't think that will update you much unless the ignition switch is on I think.

I know most of the people at my dealer that work in the shop. They are keeping a lookout for me as the car haulers have to pass the shop doors to get to the back lot to drop the new vehicles off. Several of them stated they would call or text me when they see my truck being delivered. That way I can check it out before anyone mess with it, I am only 10 minutes from their dealership.

There is already some type of tracking that is standard on the vehicle which might be what the dealers and RamCare looks at. See Build Sheet Image Below.

Yeah, i have that same thing on mine, i figured it was the Rubicon tracking. Also yes, don't do like i did, I'm sure 100% they hate me over there after my rant on this forum last weak an yesterday's extremely poor review I gave then today they hung up short an cut me off at the end. So I believe I've been flagged an tagged as a problem over some of the things I said. AN IF YOUR LISTENING BIG BROTHER RAM CARE, I MEANT EVERY WORD. But you know what, after my rant last weak, the very next day it got released an loaded. So hmmmmmmm

Guys, chill.

Dealer service depts are disinfecting vehicles and doing work. The front office will be slow and poorly staffed for maybe 2 more weeks (my opinion).

Both my sons are auto techs and they're a bit slow but still working. My oldest is a Master Audi tech (but just moved to Mercedes) and the youngest is an apprentice for an Audi dealership.

My dealer is even offering a disinfecting detail service.

I can totally deal with places being slow due to extra precautionary measures an low staffing. The thing I can't deal with is incompetence of them calling me for 3 wks in a row asking me the same question over an over an nobody saving my response so my vehicle can then be released an move forward. Just plain old incompetence an they need to make it right, whatever that means an amounts to

No worries.
Wait until next week when they call you to ask if it is okay to ship without the bed step... Then, they can finally release it and put it on the train shortly!
LMAO

I got the same Ram Cares email on my truck yesterday too. didn't bother calling cause the letter itself basically says "things are up in the air due to all of this and we don't know ****" ;)

I'm more than content to wait for the call from my dealer at this point. The longer this goes on, the better my position in dealing with them. :)

Thats exactly what I'm talking about. They called me for 3 wks in a row to ask about that stupid step an what did i want to do. Then all of a sudden when i started showing my a$$ on the forum an calling every executives # i could get a hold of, then it was released. But your right, if they call me again on the mother flubbing step, I'm getting a lawyer. Yes, I'm over it. Your trying to get me going, aren't you.

Well Mike, you jinxed me. I'm just beside myself with RAM CARE. You all no my story, I've repeated it a dozen times an your not incompetent like RAM CARE. I told you of the first 3 x with me giving the same answer. I've told you all about the nasty survey that i sent them the other day about all the stress an mental anguish they have caused my wife an i, an they need to significantly make it right to us, whatever that may mean. Well guess what, wait for it...... RAM CARE DID IT FOR THE 5TH TIME NOW, INCOMPETENCE. They sent the same dam survey I just took 3 days ago. I took it again with smaller responses that said to read the one they sent me a few days ago. I love ram, i love Cummins. I HATE RAM CARE. I'm currently stressed out again an drinking an my wife left to get some fresh air, from me and ram care or both, i don't know. So when we say just chill, guys I wish I could, they have pushed me over the Deap end. See you in that rubber room, just park my truck out front so i can see it through the little peep hole

Yeah, I keep getting that survey too... I just ignore it.

Looks like they are stuck in a loop or something.

I feel like I'm in one of the big inflatable balls going downhill an keep smashing into $#/+

Update : The truck finally hit the ground at my dealers lot.

Earlier today I got a wild hair and went by my dealers lot even though they were closed. Look what I found sitting on their lot with the doors unlocked and no keys to be found.

Hopefully I will be taking delivery in the next few days if the have the extras they agreed to put on when it arrived.

I will post better pictures once I take delivery. I the mean time, enjoy these pre-delivery pictures :

P.S. I'm sure Mark @RamCares will be glad it came in. Thanks again Mark !

This is awsome news man. I do have to ask as were all wondering. Is this #2 damage free. With it being Sunday, I'd spend all day over there going over the exterior anyway, salesman free to leave you be. Fingers crossed brother

Why in the world is the drivers side rear fender trim off of it, is that normal for transporting

Makes sense to do this for dualies during shipping. Those car carriers barely have space for regular SUVs.

OA

My wife and I spent over 3 hours checking it out. I had borrowed a friends portable paint meter to check paint thickness and also went over it with a magnet.. ALL is good except the front bumper is .25 inches lower on the passenger side with a larger gap between the bumper and the fender the the drivers side had. I'm sure this is a minor adjustment and for some weird reason the cover to the tire jack and wrench were laying loose in the passenger floor board. I didn't open the plastic bags in the back seat area to check the contents though.

Thats what I was wondering, man that's a tight fit. Also be curious to know as well once your adrenaline comes down. Try chatting up ram care an ask them if your truck had made it to the dealership yet. For the rest of us obviously. They say they can tell when it leaves saltillo, then not until it gets to dealership. Just wonder if dealership has to log it into there system to be able to show up for ram care. I've been chatting with RAM care once a day, because if it gets there I wan't to know about it if my dealer doesn't tell me because it was damaged an there trying to figure out how to fix it.

Thats crazy that they just left it unlocked like that. That makes me nervous for you an it's not even my truck. Man my adrenaline is pumping now. I'm so happy for you, you have waited more than your fair share sn deserve it. Congrats

You mean they finally repaired your first truck? :D

JK. Congrats!

Nope... LOL .... They do have the 1st truck repaired and it looks great except the paint is just a shade off. If you look closely where the bed is next to the tailgate under the tail light, you can tell a difference. They have that truck sitting back on their old lot waiting for a car hauler to pick it up and take it to parts unknown. Wife and I looked at it before we found its replacement on the new car lot. They did a good job on it though.
