My 2020, 2500 has the RamBox bed (which I love) and I recently found there is a load lock, divider, bed extender made for the slots in the bed. Can anyone comment on this? I have a MOPAR Part Number of : #68027145AE that came from another site. I have looked up that number and it is $1035.00 list price! Best internet price I found was $695.00. I ran the number by parts at my dealer and they came back with list price (young guy, no experience, not the real parts manager), I replied, no never paid list price for any part from any dealer.

Can anyone comment on this divider? Do I have the correct part number? I have a use for one of these but don't want to pay an arm and leg for one.

I use the divider all the time, it's durable and well made. It's part of the RamBox equipment group. 2020s don't come with the mounting pieces so you need to order those too if you want to use it as a bed extender as well.

The divider is great - very useful. You can set the divider near the tailgate and place things in the back without them slamming into the front of the bed when you touch the breaks. Additionally if you're hauling sheet goods or lumber that will rest on the be divider and you can open the tailgate without everything dropping down. If you have the divider slots, the divider is a must buy.

I love my divider but that pricing is insane! The retail price on that is as much as the Rambox itself and most people think that's too expensive. The cargo management package for the Rambox that includes the divider along with the rails and tie downs is only $295 on the truck I ordered. If I knew replacements were that expensive, I'd probably have kept mine locked all these years I've had one. Or at least just keep it towards the rear of the bed where the locked tailgate prevents someone from opening it up and taking it out.

If I had to replace mine, I think I'd be looking for a salvage one that came off of a wreck. In fact I think I may keep mine off of my current truck when I trade it in.

This is where it gets really weird to me, but hey, I'm a newby to Ram. according to the sticker, my truck did not come with the "cargo management" package, BUT, I DO have the rails and tie downs! Makes no sense to me!

Is there anywhere you can get a build sheet based off the VIN? More than once I have seen my company vehicles sticker not match the build sheet. It is not outside the realm of possibilities this thing DID come with said cargo management package and the divider just saw fit to climb out the back and walk off.

Stranger things have happened!

Well I think I may have this figured out thanks to Pronto! My truck HAS the Rambox Cargo Management System in it's build but does NOT have the Rambox Utility Group in the build sheet! Why the hell you would have one and not the other I do not know.

Regardless, it's ridiculous and asinine to me for this to be a $295.00 option on a truck build but the divider alone is a $1035.00 list price part.

To further complicate things (manufacturers do stupid things!), I talked with a friend yesterday who's a long-time Dodge / Ram / Cummins guy and he said they changed this in either '19 or '20. Before then, if you got the Rambox, you got all the rest, afterwards you had to specify the RUG separately.

Still makes no sense because the RUG definition(straight from Ram website) states that option gives you 4-adjustable tie down hooks and adjustable bed divider. I HAVE the 4 tie adjustable tie downs but not a listing for the RUG!

Good Grief! Makes my head hurt.......

You're right, it used to not be a separate package. On my 1500, it all came included with the Rambox but it also cost me $1295. I think they wanted to get the Rambox cost under $1k, so they split out the cargo package without raising the combined price. On the 2021 1500's, the Rambox is still $995 and the cargo management package is $545 but that also adds a bed step and led bed lighting.

Look on Facebook marketplace. I got a used, but never used one for 250. Once I got it I took it to a local locksmith who was able to key it to my key for like 20 bucks. Love that thing.

Why the he!! did I not think of that! Just found one 45 miles away for $150 if he still has it. Another closer but he wants $800! (yea, I think he will keep that one a while...)

Picked up my 2021 2500 Laramie, mega cab 4 hours ago. I special ordered it on October 19th taking GREAT CARE to order all the ram box Bella and whistles because my last two rams had the ram boxes and I loooooooove them. And that includes the cargo divider.

so, I pick the truck up today and when I ask the sales rep: “Where is the divider that should be in the cargo management group.” He answered that it is no longer included with the cargo management group..it is now part of the “bed utility group”.

I replied, my Monroe you sticker says that I paid for the “bed utility group”. Should I come back to the dealership to get my divider once y’all find it?”

he said that his manage had already left and so had he. He would ask about it in the morning.

this was at 8:05 and the dealership closes at 8:30....but no one was around who could give any answers. Hmmmm

i explained that I live 100 miles from the dealership and that it would be a 200 mile trip for me to come back.

he said he’d let me know what he finds out tomorrow.

ive lost track of the number of things that they have been caught misrepresenting on this deal. Everything from making up fictitious policies to claiming that bonus cash isn’t applicable....all with very basic documentation proving them wrong over and over and over.

I used to swear by this dealership. I’ve bought several trucks from them and sent hundreds of referrals to them and sung their praises on this forum many times.

VERY sadly, I lost the sales rep that I had so much faith in, and something has seriously deteriorated in the ethics of this dealership.

im not even going to wait for them to try to concoct yet another excuse. Tomorrow I’ll contact ramcares and find out if it’s the corporate philosophy that has eroded now that they are on top.....or if it’s just this dealership.

either way, I’m pissed.

stay tuned.

Good luck. I ordered my 2021 from the same dealership and salesman that I ordered my last Ram from. There are quite a few other dealers closer and I'm sure I could have gotten a better deal if I shopped around. Instead, I went back expecting this will go smooth and easy like the last time and that they won't screw up my order or jerk me around and play games with me when it gets here. I hope they have maintained their standards and haven't gone downhill like your dealer did. So far, so good. It sounds like your salesman sucks. Nothing pisses me off more than when a salesman flat out lies to me and that's why I don't buy from the dealer who's only a few miles away from me.

Ya it’s a let down when you expect people to treat you the same way you would treat others. I think in Canada at least Rambox group doesn’t include divider but when you double down for management group it does. It’s been a year since I special ordered so I could be wrong. It’s silly because you pay for your bed lights twice

I know this was an old thread but Mopar and Ram Parts seem clueless to the part number for the locking bolt extenders for the cargo bed extender to be used.....any help on a part number for these would be great.
