Price negotiated from MSRP

If this is posted in the wrong place, I apologize. Has anyone joined penfed, just to get the $1000 discount?
I think you have to be a member for 60 days and someone said they were getting rid of it for new people?

I'll give them a call tomorrow to see what I can find out. Just ordered the truck and I am all but certain it won't be here within 60 days. Worth a shot?

I'll do that. Since I already ordered the truck can I get these and call the dealer to add them now? And/or if I get a ram cash coupon...can I call them and add it now? Or...at this point do I have to wait and submit them when the truck arrives?

I did. And I got the voucher. I also got the RAM $1000, and they are not stackable, so it was a waste of time.

For $5 bucks, it's worth the shot IMO. You do have to wait 60 days though.

Off topic, but it’s a great deal. We have a 6% personal loan with them that we used to pay off a 16% personal loan from 3 years ago. They’re friendly and easy to work with. If you are in the market for a loan, give them a try.

I don't mind giving them a shot for sure. Fact is, I will sign up for the discount but would gladly use the for financing if it makes since. I am just wondering if I need to keep my dealer updated once I get the discount codes, or if I have to wait until the truck arrives?

Incentives are applied at time of sale.

You do have to be a PenFed member for 60 days, at least you did when I applied. I already had a Truecar $1K incentive through USAA so they were not stackable. In fact, I did the USAA thing after I ordered the truck and my dealer was one that got the lead and called asking if I intended to cancel the order and buy elsewhere. Young guy assigned by the Sales Manager I worked my order through didn't know the ropes I guess.

It's not required but I'd probably just let the dealer know what incentive(s) you have and let them know you expect them to find any other bonus or additional incentives when the time comes. Dealers often have extra spiffs they can give out like gift cards that can be used for parts and accessories, etc. Doesn't hurt to work them over for mud flaps,. floormats, an extra FOBIK...

I'm already a member with them, how are you getting a discount? Is it if you purchase a truck thru them or use their financing?

Attached is the window sticker from the 2021 truck I bought Friday and the build for the 2022 truck I'm ordering.

Am I missing anything?

Is the 50 gallon tank standard on a long bed?

Is the HO version really worth it when about the heaviest I'll pull will be 18K lbs and towing will be maybe 10% of the trucks miles. I'll commute with it 50 miles a day to work and use it as my daily driver.

So I belive I've got every technology package and item that Ram knows how to make on the 2022.

50 gal is not standard, have to option it.

If you want tow mode mirror (aux camera feed in rear view mirror), then add XH7 Tow-Mode Camera (Wired)
My understanding was “tow mode digital rear view mirror” was code AVF - and is separate from the digital mirror included in Safety Group B

What's the advantage of the digital rear view camera? I pull a 22' equipment trailer, 16' utility, 14' dump trailer and 36' fifth wheel. When would this digital thing come into play?

I did order the 360 truck camera and the 360 trailer camera.

What’s a FOBIK?

FOBIK stands for Fob Integrated Key. Fob is just another word for Remote. FOBIKs have a square shape at the tip where they plug into the dash of the vehicle and turn like a key would in the ignition

I believe with the tow mode digital camera, you can mount a camera to the back of that fifth wheel. It would show you what’s behind the fifth wheel at all times. So you would see that in the rear view mirror instead of just the trailer.

I don't think there is an advantage at all. It's like driving normally, then looking at a small TV screen very close to you. I had a hard time changing my focus from far away, to three feet in front of my face, to far away again. With the amount I look in my mirrors, I find myself avoiding the rear view if it is on. I'm just gonna run with it off all of the time.

The mirror is the same in both packages. AVF just includes the camera, which you can add as an ala-carte option if you already have a package with the Digital mirror.

I have been meaning to post on this for the last month. I can’t express my gratitude enough to Aaron at Mark Dodge in Lake Charles, LA. I ordered my 2021 Laramie 3500 at the end of February. It came in the first week of May. The deal he gave me and customer service was second to none.
No one here in California would even come close to his offer. I did about a month of price shopping in several states and Mark dodge was easily the best I got. Great contact and updates.
I flew in to Houston and they met me there with the truck and took an enjoyable trip home. Even after the sale, they helped me with the ridiculous hoops California DMV makes u go through! Thx again Aaron.
John…

My experience is similar. I am flying into NOLA tomorrow and they are bringing the truck to me at no charge. Saved me $300 in airfare flying into NOLA, and almost 3 hours of drivetime too. Aaron has gone above and beyond to make this a super simple purchase. The only other comparable purchases Ive had in the past were buying from a friend, and a family friend.
