Price negotiated from MSRP

I posted this on the 2022 build thread as well, but wanted to give another shout out to [email protected]. Gary is the sales manager at Bud Clarys in Moses lake Washington. He made me a great deal and was super easy to work with. He said he would be glad to have people reach out to him directly. He offered invoice minus holdbacks.
This is interesting. Bud Clary was about 7% under invoice a month or so ago. Then Phillip left and they went to Invoice - $500 I think. Sounds like they lost a lot of business and might be moving back to their old model?

Moses lake is about 3hrs from Auburn Bud Clary so probably different people there wanting to capture some of the custom order customers that Phillip was bringing into Auburn location I’d guess.

FYI I got an email (so, in writing) that says for deposits on new orders, AZ law does not consummate a deal until owner takes the keys, so deposits for future orders must be refundable. Not sure if this is National as well but there’s more than one dealer asking for non-refundable deposits.

Are you guys finding fully loaded Laramie trucks at these places, or are you buying Tradesmens? Around Pittsburgh there are tons of tradesmen, very few loaded trucks with all of the top end tech.

Ordering custom builds, at least most of us are.

If you’re looking for a certain truck, you can search the nation 250 miles at a time. Use the Find a Truck on ramtrucks.com. Then search using the zip codes listed on this thread:
Thread 'Nationwide inventory search'
https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/nationwide-inventory-search.5337/

you’ll need to set your criteria multiple times (at least that was my experience when I was looking in February, before deciding to order one).

What are the best tips regarding extras after best price has been reached? I'm at a final truck price but want to look at possibly picking up wheels/tires there at the dealer for a better price, or getting a MOPAR Holster for the Rambox "thrown in" or getting windows tinted as a courtesy, etc. I like the all weather mats in my 2019 so just went ahead and added that as an option to be certain on the 2022 (traditionally folks as for floor mats at the end of the day).

The ramtruck.com search feature is a pain in the ass, as Surf2snow1 mentioned. Limited range, and whenever I use it as soon as I look at the details of a truck when I go "back" the whole sort/filter is reset. What's worse is when I find one I have called the dealership directly and 50% of the time they didn't actually have the truck (it was enroute or some such). Pretty challenging to find in-stock trucks... best bet may be to give a few widely spread dealerships your desired option list and ask them to search within their regions and get back to you.

I found my 2021 Laramie Level 1 that I bought Friday, but had to order the Hydro blue Laramie level 2 that's maxed out. I'm guessing that be trading this granite crystal one in on the 2022 by the first of year when our ordered trucks get built? No one knows when we will actually get these loaded out builds. Will they have the computers to build my truck with all of the tech and cameras? I'll just chill in this granite one and wait it out.

If you’re near the dealer, ask them for maintenance too. 3 years of scheduled maintenance maybe.
The 5th gen site has deals on extended warranties, so maybe that’s something you want to ask the dealer to match the price of?

Attached is the window sticker from the 2021 truck I bought Friday and the build for the 2022 truck I'm ordering.

Am I missing anything?

Is the 50 gallon tank standard on a long bed?

Is the HO version really worth it when about the heaviest I'll pull will be 18K lbs and towing will be maybe 10% of the trucks miles. I'll commute with it 50 miles a day to work and use it as my daily driver.

So I belive I've got every technology package and item that Ram knows how to make on the 2022.

50 gal is not standard, have to option it.

If you want tow mode mirror (aux camera feed in rear view mirror), then add XH7 Tow-Mode Camera (Wired)

Also could add air ride if that is important to you. I probably wouldn't opt for HO, but it might have better resale value.

Oddly, I ran 95 miles on this 2021 and used 1/8 tank from full, refilled to full at 6.7 gallons of fuel. That works out right for a 50 gallon tank.... yet not listed as a 50 gallon tank on the window sticker.

Oh... and this one has a 4.10 axle great. I was going to get 3.73 on the 2022.... mistake? Keep the 3.73 or go 4.10 for me who will never pass 18,000 lbs behind me....?

I ordered with 4.10, I don't drive much since I have a WFH job. I wasn't worried about mpg, but from what I've seen it's negligible.

However, I ordered the Hemi. 3.73 would be just fine, especially with the Cummins.

Price ext warranty off Zeigler using discount code PAYINFULL and beat the dealer up with that.

No 50 gal tank listed on the build sheet.

Add the VIN in ALL CAPS after the link below:

If this is posted in the wrong place, I apologize. Has anyone joined penfed, just to get the $1000 discount?
