Price negotiated from MSRP

I am considering trading-up my 2019 Tradesman for a 2021 bighorn mega.

2021 MSRP $66,400 ; offer $63,381 = 4.5% off MSRP
Trade in offer: 44,000 for a 2019 Tradesman with 7kmiles

Original Purchase (3/23/2020)
2019 Tradesman (NOS); MSRP $56,285; Paid $44,607 = 20.74% off MSRP

Times are a changing...
yes they is.

Philip Olson Auburn Washington. I live in San Diego and got sick of local dealers telling me that I had to pay MSRP for factory order. Joined Tread Lightly and got the 1% over invoice coupon, which a couple of local dealers would honor. But then reached out to Mark Dodge and Bud Clary to get pricing. Bud Clary (Phillip Olson) pricing was a bit better, but both guys were quick to give me a no nonsense number.

On a 2021 Laramie Mega Cab Cummins got 12.8% below MSRP and 6.6% ($4,595) below invoice cost. MSRP $74,725; agreed upon price $65,150. The only other charge besides taxes and license was a $165 Doc fee which included temporary WA tags.

High volume dealer isn't for everybody, but was doing a factory order anyway and figured this was the best way to do it in my case. Another benefit is these guys have the factory order process down and get the order in quick, and are able to provide pretty good updates through the build process.

I went with Mark Dodge in lake Charles LA.
Truck was on the lot 50 days after I ordered it.
14.25% off msrp.

3rd vote for Phillip at BC CDJR. My MSRP is $81k, agreed to price is $70,7xx plus the $165 doc fee but minus Ram bonus cash mail offer of $1000 so final price should be $69,xxx before tax and fees once i arrive at dealer and they validate my offer code. Roughly 13% off MSRP. Not the greatest deal to be honest considering MSRP and what a truck like this sold for 2 years ago, but a great deal considering the times.

Phillip has been very communicative and with any luck i'll get to meet him next week.

And yes they will pick up at airport.
Mark Dodge is currently waiting for more info on the 2022s to be released, including pricing, and the order system to get updated accordingly. I've been dealing with Sandi there on a prospective 2022 order.

Is the best way to reach out to Phillip at BC CDJR via e-mail? Thanks everyone for all of the information. These forums make it much easier to navigate the buying process.

Email will work just may take a day or two to get back to you depending on how busy he is. Or call the dealer and ask for him directly, once you say you are looking to order and was referred from the forum he’ll get you set up. I just got off the phone with the dealer and he’s out till Sunday just so you know And his usual days off are Saturday and Sunday.

thank you for sharing the experience, getting the same treatment from local dealers. feel more comfortable with a high volume dealer given their more straight forward approach, will contact Philip when he is back next week

I worked with Aaron as well. 100% painless so far. I emailed him twice, only because I completely changed my order, then after reviewing the final build sheet I gave the OK email, and then we had a >10 minute phone call where we completed the order and I gave him a deposit. Aaron was incredibly apologetic that it took him so long to get back to me on the phone (5ish hours) It was an absolute pleasure to buy a vehicle with zero pressure.....just a rock bottom price right off the bat.

What are people doing to take delivery? Picking it up and driving home or hiring 3rd party transporter?

So, while researching the FCA Affiliate Rewards, I came across a climbing club that offers access to reward for members in good standing. But, they advertise the clubs company code on site. I was able to create an account on FCA w/ company code. So, all I need to do is create a control number to bring in to dealer for the discount?

Buy 'n fly. Then drive it home. That's what I did.
BTW, I'll put in another vote for Phillip Olson at Bud Clary Chrysler.

I am about 5 hours from Mark Dodge so should I order from them, I will look into a one-way car rental, and then drive it home. I looked into that last year and it was under $100 for the one-way rental. There was a drop off close to their dealership. Would just ask they pick me up at the rental drop off.
