Ok I can officially post here! Ordered a 2021 2500 Megacab Limited w/ the 6.7 yesterday. They said 8 to 12 weeks. I’m really jazzed. My 2nd truck but the first was 10+ years ago.
I would describe my deal as “good”. Some of you guys are knocking it out of the park but I did my usual thing (internet pricing requests, cross shop multiple dealers, research incentives, etc) and honestly not a lot of love on 2021 2500 discounting in SoCal. There were a few dealers giving $4k or $5k off but that was if they happen to have a truck in inventory.
I like my sales guy, the whole process was chill and smooth, no sales “tactics”, multiple test drives over multiple days, and his GM allowed $1k over invoice (or FWP). Easy breezy.
For perspective, truck is a little over $87 and I’m getting for $81. About 7% off sticker. That’s better than anything else I saw (though I physically didn’t go to multiple dealers, play ”hardball” etc). My gut tells me there is some money on the table, but I’m happy. And if I end up trading my car in, I’ll remind them of that as part of the trade in conversation....
