Price negotiated from MSRP

Question for those of you that ordered your trucks. If you have a trade in, do you work that out at the time you put your deposit down or once your truck is delivered? Reason I ask is I see the used car values increasing now and wondering if I can lock a trade in price with the dealer now or if I am at mercy of the market months down the road when the new truck is delivered?
Upon delivery the dealer inspected my trade-in once again. It took him so much time I was getting prepared for a fight. When he finally came back, he said, okay, no adjustment needed. So I guess they are pretty much set on a price when you order but if ever 3 months later something changed on the trade-in they might want to renegotiate the value. I mean you are still using it during that period and **** could happen.

Using your numbers I would say you got the Family & Friends price plus they gave you their holdback.
Did they give you a copy of the POC? That would tell you exactly what you negotiated.
The bottom line is you did good - congratulations.

Here's what a PC looks like, a copy of mine redacted.

I will ask for it and see what I can stir up. I was pretty happy with the outcome. This is definitely a different ballgame compared to the 1500s

Bed step, it let you order it? I couldnt even order it cause of recall and sure enough dealer couldnt install one either upon delivery. Maybe the fix is on production line. Congrats on truck, great color i love my Del Red NE!

The updated version is available already. I found out in this forum this week.

Really Mike? That’s awesome. I was expecting the step to get kicked at production.

Is it “Oh Canada or “Ow Canada “?

Yeah really, I am a Canadian living in the US the last 7 years and certainly don’t miss been taxed and overcharged to death on everything.
Yup taxes do suck, but I guess that's what u get with a lower population base. I still think I got a pretty good deal. I do find it odd that the sticker prices don't seem to translate from USD to CDN. Seems like I'd be cheaper for Americans to shop in Canada and deal with the exchange. For example my optioned out truck should be 82k USD when it seems like the sticker would be more like 90k USD.

Yeah when I ran the exchange rate I’d say you did get a pretty good deal and a real nice truck as well. It’s just shocking to see 6 figures as a purchase price. How much is a case of beer up there now?

Depends, for 12 bud light ur looking at $25-30. U get into some craft beer and it's $20 for a sixer. It's really stupid.

Also you’re in Alberta with only the 5%, I was living in Ontario at 13%. Anyhow hopefully you don’t have to wait too long to get your DRW, I love mine.

It should only be about 3 weeks out now. I'm gettin antsy.

Hi Everyone, new member here looking to get a 2500. I’m in south florida and the inventory levels are low and the dealers have been difficult to deal with. From what I understand, the inventory is lower than normal and they’re holding on to inventory. Do you know if the Tread Lightly works with the 2500s, and if it does, are dealers honoring it?

I have a potential deal to order a 2500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4x4, build and price came out to $52,675. I got them down to $46,500 including all rebates at time of delivery. Seems fair as I don't anticipate and huge rebates like on the 1500s coming. Does this sound good?

EDIT: So the salesman forgot to add in the LED headlights on my build and agreed to include them at invoice so now they are saying $47,231. And this is based on "future" incentives meaning I don't get any additional incentives if there are any, but if there are some that require financing with FCA and I choose not too, the price will be adjusted up. Doesn't sound so good anymore.
