Price negotiated from MSRP

Beware, the rebates that they are showing as part of the final price you might not qualify for. You will have to own a piece of Case IH equipment and have USAA insurance.

Thanks I noticed that. I don't qualify for either and just sort of ignored it as dealership website shenanigans.

You are quite welcome!...……."dealership website shenanigans" is a polite way of putting it!

There's also a $250 check available from Allstate for the BonusDrive promo... I got mine two weeks ago.

You just have to show proof of a non FCA brand or trade.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I was specifically targeting a gas truck. We don't plan on hauling anything that is massive and I don't feel like we'll drive enough miles or go often enough to make a diesel worth it in cost or maintenance. I work from home now and drove less than 7K last year. We have another vehicle for around town so this thing is going to sit quite a bit. I know diesel is more coveted and I know resell down the line would be better on a diesel. I'm also aware of how awesome everyone says an exhaust brake is. I live in Florida where a lot of roads are pretty flat. We'll likely get up into the mountains occasionally but I'm not sure it would be enough to warrant the diesel just for the exhaust brake.

Given the current sales climate (abysmal), this is a gas truck, and it's a leftover 2019, does anyone think 45k out the door would be silly to shoot for? I obviously want to get the best deal I can get but want to be as realistic as I can be. I've driven 6 hours to purchase cars before. I am willing to work it if the savings offset my time.
Make the offer and walk out the door. Never chase the deal. I think you get a call.

Hah yeah pretty much. Well in my case it will be phone / email. This truck is 100 miles away but I don't believe in setting foot in the dealership until I've got a deal done anyway. I'll go test drive something to make sure it's right for me at a close dealer. They get included in the batch of emails I send out but I try and cast a wide net and include a lot of dealers.

This particular dealer, I was texting the sales person and told them I was free for a call at 3:30 today. Never heard back. Not a great start.

Yeah, that‘s typical. Took 10 days for a dealer to return my call/email and still didn’t give me the breakdown I asked for. Told them that I could see how I would be treated if I were To buy from them. Really secretive and they still have the truck, which tells me they are using typical sales tactics.

Wait and see. I just had local dealer call wanting to talk. Will see in next couple of days what they have to say. Only one they have is a 2020 and the incentives are not there, so back to work on the honey do’s.

Still waiting on mine, but it seemed to be progressing through the system. Awesome to keep bumping that for new purchasers.

I expect this is the reason I have been getting so much warranty junk mail.

FFS.

That or the $1000 Truecar incentive I got through USAA.

Or the email address I gave to Zeigler, or Alexa or Google listening, or...

what does out the door mean? does it mean your trading in a vehicle that you owe $15K more than they are giving for trade in? Out the door price is so general it can't be answered accuratly without knowing whats included. it would be more accurate to ask " should I offer them $XXX for this vehicle"? that way we can all see how much under current asking price it is.

Out the door usually means just that, all fees, licensing paid. Most states have a tax and fee estimator to use for this.

yup, so there is no way to know if its a good asking price or not without all the info

If he thinks 45k is a good offer to him, that’s really all that matters, isn’t it? Things are only worth what someone is willing to pay. Catch a dealer needing to make sales numbers or wanting to cut his losses plays a role as well. A bad deal today maybe tomorrow’s steal, or vice Versa.

When we talk about OTD prices, we should NEVER include sales tax and registration because they vary widely. There's no source of truth if you throw variables into the mix.

[/QUOTE Ah, there’s that word TRUTH. Means different things depending on the audience, but as long as it all is broken down, simple enough to figure out. Many have bought big ticket items and not accounted for the different fees AND taxes.

@HD5280, 25% off is awesome. Congrats, and that thing looks awesome. I would be interested in knowing how the carli level kit works out.

Thank you! Have been searching nationally and this has literally everything I wanted with the exception of the rear air suspension which I’ll just have to add later. One of their last 2019s on the lot so getting an amazing deal. Talked them into shipping which was a nice add. Pretty damn happy.
Will let you know about level
