Price negotiated from MSRP

Yes, no damage observed. And we went over it with a fine-tooth comb! They did a nice job of detailing everything.
Awesome news , congrats , you beyond deserve it for that wait. Not the trophy you wanted for longest time from order to customer.

Finally got our 2020 2500 that we ordered back in November! Local dealers were finally able to reopen with skeleton sales crew yesterday. Our sales rep and his manager were super apologetic about the delays. We felt good about the final price, saving us a bit over 12% off of MSRP. And they matched the Zeigler price on an extended MaxCare warranty.
If you don't mind me asking, what did the MaxCare run?

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I'll probably try to go for as long of a warranty as I can. I plan on keeping my next truck for a long time and even just with normal travel I rack up the miles. My current truck is almost exactly 3 years old and I'm already over 50k. This info really helps me out...

All depends on length, miles, deductable.

I did 8/60K with a $200 deductible for $1085. $100 below Zeigler. Beat the dealer up with their price.

They are quoting me 3x that amount. wtf

The dealer? Of course they are. They're also trying to sell their own warranty and maintenance plans. Eff that. I wanted an FCA Maxcare only.

Get a price online from Zeigler then go wack the dealer upside the head with it.

I flat out told him I wasn't interested unless they would beat the Zeigler price.

Unless you're saving a significant amount, I wouldn't even bother talking to the dealer about a MaxCare warranty. Just buy it online and don't let the FI dbag dick you around.

That was from Zeigler's online quick quote.

Look at this. Why would the rate change between states registered?

Looks like the dually pushes the price up.

Looks even higher for the 3500 SRW than when I got mine in March.

There was a discount code published somewhere for like $150 off or something. Can't recall exactly what it was.

Found it.

PAYINFULL code at Zeigler gets you $365 off.

THAT's the one you beat the dealer up with.

You're welcome.

P.S. Looks like there's some nasty warranty surcharge in FL.

Thanks! Zeigler said they are bound by Florida law to sell the warranty at retail price. My dealer didn't even offer selling the maxcare warranty. Some 3rd party warranty junk.

Has anyone got the 0% for 36 months offered on the Ram site on the Laramie?

Wow, dually is way more expensive than srw. What kind of things does MaxCare cover that the added care plus doesnt. The added care plus looks like covers quite a bit, and is a lot cheaper, close to 1k$. Is it worth it?

Hello all,

I'm considering making the jump to a heavy duty truck so we can buy an RV and make some memories with our kids while they are still little. Reading through this thread, it seems like folks have been able to get get as much as 20% off plus incentives. I found this truck that fits what we want pretty well: https://www.billbryanchryslerdodgej...Park-2019-RAM-2500-Big+Horn-3C6UR5DJ5KG708001

My experience has been that Florida is pretty terrible for car deals but I've been mostly dealing with European makes. Can anyone provide guidance on what I should be asking for as a discount?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure how heavy you're planning on pulling but be aware that's a gasser.

You should absolutely be looking at sub $50k for that truck considering their baseline offer starts at employee pricing on 2019s (which is approximately 11.5% off; hold back for that truck, I would guess is in the neighborhood of an additional $1400 to $1700). 20% would have you around the $47.5k mark. At that point it depends on what you think is a good deal, your timing, if you're willing to travel and how hard you're willing to work for it. In my experience I've had the best luck when I'm able to find equivalent trucks and have dealers try to beat the other's offer.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I was specifically targeting a gas truck. We don't plan on hauling anything that is massive and I don't feel like we'll drive enough miles or go often enough to make a diesel worth it in cost or maintenance. I work from home now and drove less than 7K last year. We have another vehicle for around town so this thing is going to sit quite a bit. I know diesel is more coveted and I know resell down the line would be better on a diesel. I'm also aware of how awesome everyone says an exhaust brake is. I live in Florida where a lot of roads are pretty flat. We'll likely get up into the mountains occasionally but I'm not sure it would be enough to warrant the diesel just for the exhaust brake.

Given the current sales climate (abysmal), this is a gas truck, and it's a leftover 2019, does anyone think 45k out the door would be silly to shoot for? I obviously want to get the best deal I can get but want to be as realistic as I can be. I've driven 6 hours to purchase cars before. I am willing to work it if the savings offset my time.

Beware, the rebates that they are showing as part of the final price you might not qualify for. You will have to own a piece of Case IH equipment and have USAA insurance. That FCA conquest rebate maybe for buyers that live in the same state.
