Price negotiated from MSRP

Ok, here's the skinny. You can only do one or the other because there both through true car an you can only use I true car coupon code. Pen fed is 1000 an Sam's is 500. You have to go on the web sites an print them out. I wish I could tell you how to do it but just like other rebates, they don't make it easy. My wife an I worked on the pen fed one for about 30 minutes of just clicking on different things but eventually stumbled upon it. But 30 minutes for a G ain't to bad. Sam's was allot easier to do online but at the time I didn't know that you could only use one from true car. There's both good until early 2021 not sure of exact month. If you served in the military or a close reflective has served you can get into pen fed that way. There's also a loop hole that says people not from the military can become members by simply making a $5 dollar donation online. Yes 5 Not 500. The 5 goes into your acct that you have to open. Then after a few days you will be able to get acct info to get you started. I did mine about 9 months ago an used it 1 month ago, just because I had decided to wait for 2020s.

Did you have to use PenFed car buying service to get this?

Truck is due in about a week, there are no current rebates for me, so saving $1K for a $5 deposit would be awesome.

I've got a great rate pre-approved from USAA, but there's no "coupon" and their car buying "discount" doesn't come close to what I negotiated.

Thats is exactly why I didn't mind doing the leg work to get it done. Not a wick easy process but definitely worth it. Just remember you can only do 1 true car affiliated coupon , you can't combine the pen fed an Sam's . So if you already used the Sam's one for 500 you will not be able to use the pen fed 1000 at the last minute to screw dealer even more.

Rich,
Much thanks for the PenFed info. I joined today, paid my 5 bucks and now wait for 60days to get the 1000.00 certificate.
Hopefully, my truck will not arrive before then.
Again, much appreciated

No problem John. I'm glad others are going to be able to save another 1000. I like to believe that there allot of others out there like me that are fortunate enough to be able to own one of these fine machines but by no means have money to throw away. I like to believe that we got to this point in our lives because we know the value of the dollar.

Does the Sams club discount work on special orders ? Or just on the trucks on the lot ..

Special orders or what ever. I was giving the code for my build model but had already used pen fed so I couldn't use the Sams one. All that matters is the vehicle your purchasing or building is on their list of approved vehicles, wich most are.

Well lllllllll, I'm a few steps closer. I have a build sheet an the ram chat rep says its built but it's waiting to add the options. I guess this means since just 2 days ago it hadn't been started that they rolled the frame an motor an tranny on the line, now there putting her all together

Some snafu on the penfed member signup I did a few days ago so I ended up having to call to get it sorted out.

While on the phone I asked about the certificate/coupon and if there was a 60 day waiting period. She said no waiting, I can complete that for you just tell me the make and model. Well, she lied/didn't understand. Next thing I know not only is my phone and email blowing up, but MY dealer's junior rep calls me very confused and concerned. LOL. I looked again myself and tried to get the certificate and it said nope, nada, noway, nohow. 60 days. Crap, wish I had known about this when I started looking in Dec.

Dealer minion said new rebates/incentives were announce internally today, but Sales GM (guy I've dealt with) hasn't disseminated yet. If they're not applicable for a March sale and I have to wait 2 or 3 more weeks, probably not gonna happen unless it's significant.

Oh man, yeah i didn't have all that mess. That will keep your dealer on there toes, now they know your trying to get a better deal hahaha. Maybe why I didn't have any problems was because I had my wife do it.

That’s a feather in yer cap for giving the wife credit.....mine keeps me straight on that stuff too.

Well we've been married for 25 yrs , so that feather in the hat ain't gonna do me any good. Lol

Can’t hurt either.

I am thinking that this corona virus could be good news on the truck buying front......or bad.

Im thinking interest rates are going to keep coming down, i just don't know if were going to close the southern border an hold or truck's from crossing. But it's definitely going to hurt your 401k, cds, an iras.

Been there before. Don’t figure on having to touch that for a fistful of years yet.

Well, I am already to the point of flipping the finger to some dealers. Some just think their s#%t is golden. Had 1 today try to tell me he was knocking 8k off, what more did I expect. Well for one, not a smart @zz remark. This was after he figured out it was a long distance inquiry and I wouldn’t be in unless we made a deal. I could get 11k off local, but not exactly what I want. Internet sales is a joke these days. What they really want to do is lure you into dealership where you are on their turf. I bought my 2500 in Minnesota via the net a couple years ago which was completely painless. So I shall do a build sheet with dealer locally and see what happens. No hurry anyway. Told wife summertime or so. Still have a hard time spending 80k on a truck that loses value as I drive off the lot. I’m used to my investment growing, not shrinking. BUT, I plan on spending my hard earned money on the mrs. and me, as I have yet to see a hitch on the back of a hearse. May ask the next dealer if trucks are coming packed with CORONAs.LOL! I do plan on taking a Ford for a test drive though. Haven’t done that in a few years. This time, me thinks that I’ll make a day of test drives, then toss keys back at sales guys and say, I’ll be in touch. OK, rant over. Camping season cannot come soon enough......

Hahaha, man o man you are jacked up Boz. I've been there with you , the whole internet experience has kind of been a joke. It takes forever for them to get back with you because of ( real customers). In saying that, I'm like you, if you just walk into a dealership an try to make a deal, your gonna get screwed big time. If I had a life, I would of really gotten P. O . ed at how long the process has taken. But I looked everywhere an it was like, I can order one for around 83k an it will be my perfect rig or keep looking at all these on the lots that don't have what I want for not to much less. So I'm definitely happy with my decision to build but I also haven't gotten it yet either. Im just hoping it don't come damaged, I can't deal with that. Thats an insult when they say, we took 8,000 off the top, woooo. This process really works out for those with time on there hands, not for those living the grind. I look at all the specs on ram, ford, an gm, an there all insane. Imo, Chevy is nice but w/O Allison there nothing. Im a dodge ram Cummins mopar guy so that's what I believe in, there just TOUGH an are top notch all around. Now I'll be honest, I hate ford, would never own one but the specs there putting out are pretty crazy. I just dont believe there at all durable. But we all have a$$ holes an some of us are a$$ holes but we all have different opinions that we could go back an forth with for eternity. Bottom line is, ram rocks it an heavy Chevy are aaaa itteee an ford and salesman just suck. I can't let you test drive a ford man, I'm here for you, don't do it, come back to us, your gonna be ok!
