Whereabouts did you camp? We do Oregon coast quite a bit so any info is helpful.
Beverly Beach on this trip.
The coast is still pretty busy, so reservations were a must.
Heaviest rains, wind, thunder and lightening we've ever seen, last Fri - Sunday. Wow.. Ocean was blown out.
Banana express or (new atmospheric river), storm came through.
We saw a lot of Whales just south of there, once the weather straightened up.
 
Wherever the rocks are where the Goonies was filmed, I want to go there. The last time I was in Oregon was about 27 years ago and I was at Mt. Hood. (Government Camp)

We really like Beverly Beach. Hope to get back there this next summer.

Very nice. I was stationed near there many years ago in the Coast Guard. We live up the Coast in WA now so still get to enjoy beach.
 
Pretty sure they filmed a lot of Goonies in Astoria, Or. We do most of our shopping there to get around the WA state sales tax.
