Check your wiring harnesses back behind the cab. Specifically where they cross over the frame rail. Common pinch point. Could be causing electrical issues with the sensors.I seem to be killing the particulate matter sensors like crazy , I've replaced this sensor and a couple others and have less than 40k miles on my truck, anyone else have these issues?
Not that I see just cheked before I repliedAny soot in the tailpipe?
Repeated sensor failure is definitely not “par for the course”. It sounds to me like something went amiss after the recalls were completed. I’m assuming one of the recalls was the Y78 recall for the CP4 pump and the other was the ZB6 emissions recall?Sorry , here it is .
2019 Ram 3500 HD 4x4 DRW 6.7 L Bighorn , 37547 miles currently, I purchased this truck new , I had zero problems with this truck until I had all the recall's serviced (at about 29000 miles) at 2 different dealer's just over a year ago. Prior to that I had driven the truck across the country towing my 43' fifth wheel, this truck is and always has been my daily driver, I use this truck every day. But as of recently ( last year and a half, after the service of all the recalls) it's been throwing codes like crazy, and eating sensors. NOTHING mechanical has failed, just exhaust sensors failing ALOT. Every dealership I talk to or Mechanic says that it's just parr for the course with the newer modern diesel's. I've had so many issues and continue to have issues that I have considered deleting the truck. Is this going to be my only option. Codes : P24C9 , P2459 , and a couple others. I have also replaced both of the sensors related to these codes more than once.
Makes me wonder if something was done incorrectly when those two updates were done.Correct, that was 2 of the 4 that were done , the other was the rear bed step bracket and the 4th was for lugnuts.+
Seeing dealer on Monday the CEC came back, But the truck did the region with the CEC on so it seems unaffected. Im pretty sure this is the CA recall sensor that was installed 2 years ago under the recall. I guess im happy it's at least not affecting anything other than the CEC light lol. All ready want to put a piece of tape over it LOLOLOIt’s been raining for days and the fog was crazy tonight. I wonder if some moisture got in there. Drove truck a few miles then restarted several times still seems ok
