Official 2025 Ram HD

If they were smart, they’d make these trucks easy to add on parts. Just mark up the pieces so it’s more expensive than packaging it.

Want to add steering wheel controls? Here’s an OEM kit. Want to add massaging seats? Hers an OEM kit. Just break down every single option so you can DIY at a slightly higher price than ordering it complete from factory.
I think they’re banking on the chance you’ll buy a completely new vehicle instead!

2 ram trucks in so far and 2 trucks hacked up :) … now just waiting for them to open ordering for a Rebel in a gasser and I’ll be 3 trucks hacked up lol

For the record the last 2 trucks were great trucks, first one was written off my fault; second one was written off not my fault

Sounds like we need to black list you from buying another. I mean, I am hard on trucks...but YOU! ;)

My order just moved from "order confirmed" to "scheduled". How long does the truck sit at this stage before it moves to production?
Morning, when did you order yours? Is it a Limited?
I ordered my Limited Long horn on December 9th and still on confirmed.

HD looks good to me . Personally the fake scoop and plastic in the hood I could do without . Looks like a RAM to me . There is not much you can do with a truck , that is why car design guys hate doing trucks .

I used to think "they will never do that, because they couldn't sell new ones because people would just upgrade their old trucks". As time has gone on, I've heard more and more that manufactures make the majority of their income from parts for repair, so I wonder which is the truth. My guess is that it's a bit of a combo for both.

How do you feel about it, those of us who have no commercial applications for it? Part of me likes the classic truck feel of it, but not necessarily a pro or con. I’m used to the dial in mine now.
Personally I hated the dial in my '17 1500, three years with that truck and I never got fully used to it. I was constantly grabbing for the radio dial because with the 12" display they were right next to each other. And too easy to mis-dial what gear you wanted. From what I've seen some like it but most seem to hate it.

I just like how it saves space. If it's just for work, maybe push buttons would be a compromise.

Anything but a big gigantic shifter wasting half the console.

Mine is a laramie mega cab and my order was confirmed on 12/21 and moved to scheduled status as of 1/22.
I wonder if mine has not moved because it's a Limited Longhorn. I don't know why that might be though., mine is still in confirmed state since 12/9.

At least you guys were able to order … I’ve posted the same frustrating thing so many times …

I’ve even taken up trying to figure out what the release dates were for the 2024s in hopes that I can figure out when they will open the Rebel
Gassers

Ha, all I want is to order Delmonico Red or Silver. Even that simple want is still on hold…

I hope Tim Kuniskis fixes all this. This is horrible launch of any product. First, you don't really give a big update (I mean new engine is okay but the cab stays the same and you don't even get the stuff like HUD, panoramic roof, massaging seats, etc you get in other trucks these days). Also, they don't address some key issues - for example, payload for 2500s with diesels. Then they hold a 2025 launch super late. Then they hold back key options (air with SRW for 3500). Then you can't order certain trims or colors. That is just embarrassing. I hope Tim turns this around. I've never seen a launch this incompetent but then again, I've not bought trucks before.

It's turned me off enough, I'm going to wait it out a year or two. See what happens. In the meantime, I'm getting a Wrangler 392 and giving it the AEV treatment because at least I can go on some trails and have fun with that... with a v8.

Man, I know it’s annoying, believe me I do, but this is par for the course for HD launches since at least 2020. If they don’t have what you want now, wait for it, or buy something else.

Continuously complaining here isn’t going to have any effect. No one who reads these forums has any ability to impact Ram’s processes or decisions.

Every dealer I've talked to would support your theory. Employe's will readily tell you their number #1 profit center is service often with a close #2 on parts and #3 on used (every used vehicle is unique after all). The BMW dealer generates about 200K a month in profits the advisor in the service department informs me, the new department is lucky to break $36K. I would sepeculate manufactures retain most of the profit on selling new vehicles and financing them. Leaving dealers to make their cut on used, service and parts. Dealers have often said to me that they only sell new vehicles so they eventually end up on the used lot or in the service bay. I can't imagine it costs ram a lot to make a 2500/3500 pickup at this point, the tooling that has been in use since what 2011 has long since been paid for (even the door panels are the same). They aren't spending on engineering. They are probably sitting at 30%-50% profit margins before incentives, trucks are generally the most profitable vehicles to produce, followed by luxury vehicles. The least profitable are economy cars, notice what the big two isn't making?

I'm with ya. Not saying the dial is the best, but it eats up a lot less space than the alternatives and leaves more room for stuff I do want. Been routinely driving several vehicles, with console, column, floor. Had a dial shifter in my main truck for the last decade. It's not an issue, just different.

Does the passenger screen on the limited take the place of the upper glove box or is it just the door. I like the idea of the screen, but not at the cost of the box.
