Official 2025 Ram HD

Overall I think this refresh was a swing and a miss, they all pretty much look like the pigs from Angry Birds IMO.
YES!!! Nailed it. When I first saw the pic of the new truck thats EXACTLY what I thought-- it looks like a pig snout. LOLOL

They could make some useful changes that wouldn't affect the appearance; offer some 8.5" or 9" wide wheels so we could put on 305 or 12.50 tires without having to buy wheels. At the same time, redesign the radius arms and sway bars to clear 37x12.5 tires. And, a very simple fix, make a bit more clearance at the pinch weld in the fender. Also, give us the option from the factory to get 4.10, 4.30, 4.56 gears, with rear e-locker available on any trim level... Another thing I would really love is a fulltime 4wd option, especially useful on the Diesels, since they have so much weight on the front axle...

It would be nice if the 3500 had 4 wheel independent suspension and more focus on the ride quality. My back is not the same as it was when I was 20.
There is really only so much you can do for ride quality in a 1 ton pickup. I personally would prefer not to have independent suspension because while it would ride nicer it would also create a whole different set of problems when hauling heavy loads and I suspect durability would take a hit too. I have family who pull a moderately sized camper behind a Ford Expedition (4 wheel independent suspension) and they go through tires quick with the angles it induces loaded and also need about $4k in work done to the rear end soon.

Oh interesting. What’s the additional scoop on that new architecture?
It’s canFD, so it’s really fast and can support the higher level adas stuff.
It sucks for making changes because the security gateway can’t be bypassed, it has to be unlocked using autoauth.

Well that’s going to suck until someone figures out a way to defeat it.

There are 50 ton tanks with very high end suspensions. They ride far better than a 1 ton pick up truck.

Haven't seen one yet with a 14 inch screen, just a digital cluster.

Column shifter?

Because there’s no need for it. The column shifter was there to pull a cable. The ZF transmissions are electronically shifted. It’s like if they put a crank on the front of the truck to start it. Just as pointless as the center console shifters on the TRX, RHO, and GT.

It’s also ugly and in the way.

I have to agree with you. I was really hoping they would dump the column shifter. Would’ve made perfect sense with the adaptation of the new transmission. Eliminates the potential for a loose shifter handle and the ridiculously cheap rubber boot that self-destructs every time you move the shifter. And it isn’t like they don’t already have a module that could be used since the one from the 1500 would be basically the same. Sticking with the column was one of several blunders on this model year. Another being the retention of the old cab structure. That one will surely not help sell new trucks. Add to that the HP and Torque figures won’t even meet or surpass the competition. I guess they’re hoping the new transmission will keep buyers coming back, but time will see.

They didn’t even have to look to the 1500, the Hemi HDs use the same shifter dial.
