Congrats on your order ! ! ! ;) I most definitely will have the items on my next re-order of the replacement Ram if I even get a Ram replacement. The dealer where my damaged Ram is won't talk to me now it seems, So I got mad and showed my A** in their showroom and left. I am going around talking and getting prices from other places including Ford and GMC. I am now 2 states away going in to another Ram dealer to see what they will do. I might even just keep my 2008 Ram 3500 with 80,k on it instead of buy another, who knows what I will do after I calm Down

Autonation Corporate has yet to call me back But I did hear from @RamCares here on the forum. It looks like it is put back on the selling dealer even though it was damaged in Mexico before it got put on the rail. If a company won't call you back or offer a good solution, even though you have been loyal to Mopar since 1970, why do business with them. I have always been a very calm person to everyone with a good sense of humor but now that this has happened I feel like being an A** to car dealers now even though I know I shouldn't.

Sorry for my rant to you all but this ordeal has raised my blood pressure and got me in a bad frame of mind. I know it just a pricey hunk if metal but it is the situation and lack of caring.

Seeing that I am in New Orleans I might just go the the French Quarter and have a good time for the next few days and calm down.. Bottoms Up Everyone! I might have a drink for all of you.
Drink 2 for me!

Mine showed up with about 7-10 small dimples in the roof. I took it back to the dealer and they offered painless dent removal. This was late November so I figured I would have them fix it at the first LOF. I didn't want some clown flexing the piss out of my 20°f paint. Apparently the dealer had lent it out for a HS homecoming parade so I imagined some amped up jock pounding the sh*t outta my roof. I actually prefer a minor amount of damage on my new cars. Takes some of the sting out of the first inconsiderate soul that door dings it..
Yeah, that 1st scratch or ding hurts the worst.

Ouch... You should see the other guy?

Short pole in a tight lot. Did not see it coming at me.

Hauling around a fiver develops habits that generally avoid issues like this. Strange day. Upside was taking my 5 year old grandson (and my son) to monster trucks.

Monster truck show tickets for the 5 year old's birthday treat, $100
Food and drinks, $60
Parking, $20
$500 deductible for whacking a pole. Priceless.

Update :

No change yet on getting the replacement truck ordered.

I have visited some dealers as far as 100 miles away and called some dealers as far as 800 miles from where I live. I have narrowed my search down to a small hand full of dealer that I can work with and willing to deal. I have also found a bunch of dealers that won't deal at all, as I feel like they are Money Hungry. I plan on going back out tomorrow (Friday 3-6-2020) for what I hope is my final contact with at least one of the dealers I can work with.

I do have my updated list of items of what I want on the vehicle and hope they all will be available so I can get an order placed.

The following is a list of the options I plan on putting on this new build:
2020 Laramie Longhorn 3500, Crew Cab, 4X4 DRW (169 IN WB, 8 Ft Box) (D28R92) - Customer Preferred Package 21K - 6.7 Cummins HO Turbo (ETM) with Aisan HD Transmission (DF2) - 3.73 Axle Ratio - Dual 220A Alternators total 440A (XF7) - Pearl White (PWQ) - Lower Two Tone Paint (APD) - Walnut Brown Metallic (QUW) - Premium Filigree Leather Seats (*XJ), Mountain Brown/ Lt. Mountain Brown (_N6) - Dual Rear Wheels (WLA) - Deployable Bed Step (MDN) - Upfitter Electronic Module (VSIM)(XXS) - Clearance Lamps (LNC) - 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Towing Prep Group (AHU) - Auxiliary Switches ((LHL) - Factory Spray In Bedliner - Protection Group (ADB) - Chrome Tow Hooks (XHQ) - Safety Group (AAU) - Trailer Camera Wiring (XFQ) - Towing Technology Group (AAN) - Trailer Tire Pressure Monitors TTPMS (XG9) - Rear Backup Alarm (XAW) - Longhorn Level 1 Equipment Group (A68) - 50 Gallon Fuel Tank (NFC)..

Wish me luck !

If you're getting dual rear wheels you should get 4.10 gears. No sense in getting 3.73s, just my opinion.

I went also for 3.73. Overall, there is only about a thousand pound difference in towing capacity between the two.

I personally will not tow even close to capacity (20K-24K max) but I needed the payload of the DRW.

3.73 allows for better fuel mileage and also truck feels better at highway speed.

The 3.73 will downshift a lot sooner than a 4.10 when passing a car down the highway, and not to mention when towing uphill you will find yourself cought in between two gears quite often.
Aside from the fuel mileage factor: the 4.10 it is a lot more responsive to the throttle input, making it quite more fun to drive on a day to day basis.

I have had many gassers with 4:10s and they were fun. Buzzing at highway speeds on the 3speed autos, but oh well. Not the case with today’s od trannies. I can always slow down a bit. Also don’t forget that the 4:10 gear will pull that parachute better through the air. My gasser mh has 5:13s. It is 20k lbs and you can hook a toad to it and not notice a difference. Torque and torque multiplication is king.

In the end, there's only a couple hundred RPM difference between 3.73 and 4.10. I went 4.10 because I tend to tow at 65-68 and that puts me around 1800 RPM. Empty, I tend to run 70-72, which is right at 2000 RPM. Fuel economy of the new HOs is not the greatest anyway.

If you wants the power, you gots to pay a price. Nothing is free, but something’s are better than others.
