Muddy~Rusty new truck 2025 2500

Are you saying these photos of this truck were before the buyer picked it up.. I dought it, I call bull s----.

No, I’m saying something needs to change. There’s a problem open your eyes.
Than why use pictures of another truck? Every truck I have ordered and received from Ram close to 6 has always been spot on. Possibly .05% of trucks delivered to a customer come out looking like that.

Not all trucks are affected majority of their rail yard in Mexico is paved.
Check out this picture. This intercooler is caked with mud like mine.
It’s clear to me not everyone takes pride in ownership of their vehicle on this form as much as I do. And that’s fine. Everyone is different.
In my opinion, this is unacceptable and that’s that.

Plenty of dealers get pics of the vehicles as soon as they are delivered because they need to get them listed.

They will clean them before delivery.
100% agree that’s what happened to mine. Still not the issue.

I had a simalar problem. I ordered a 2026 ram 2500 Rebel level 2 and paid money down. Truck came in and the frame was not shinney it looked like somebody washed it with a accid cleaner. You could see the welds were gold and blue in color. I told dealer that was no good (rust preventive was gone) and livng in WI the salt was going to rust this truck 1st winter. The dealer looked and agreed. They sprayed a black under coating on all frame parts and it now looks good. I took the truck as I speced it out to my wants. Just wondering about what I can not see on the inside of the boxed section of the frame. I asked the dealer to mention what they had to do the frame incase there were future problems with rust later. They said they would take care of it if there was. I hope the inside of frame is OK because I can not see inside.

I feel your disappointment. That’s great that your dealer realized that this was not acceptable and stepped up to the plate.
And you’re absolutely right, The truck frame looks like someone used acid cleaner on It. What I think some are overlooking is that this issue takes the pride of ownership away from the new owner and for me that is what this thread is about.

Or maybe most of us don’t accept delivery of a product without a full inspection?

I take plenty of pride in what I own. It’s why I never would have accepted the vehicle in the first place.

The delivery of the truck to my house which was 350 miles from the dealer was a guy dropping the truck off to me and handing me the keys and getting in a support vehicle and driving back to the dealership. I didn’t think it was necessary to crawl under the truck. The truck on the exterior walking around it looked fine. I guess I was too busy giving the Guy a tip so him and his road companion could go get a nice lunch.

“Hey, here is your tip for delivering the vehicle, I really appreciate it. Mind sitting tight for 5 minutes while I peek around to make sure things are up to snuff? Thanks man!”

Problem solved lol

Either way, good luck working with Ram “Cares”. At the very least they should pay to have the chassis re-coated.

That’s how it should be handled. Great job everyone

Truck ordered > truck delivered to dealer > truck inspected > issue found > issue corrected by dealer before customer delivery

Yeah, that would’ve probably been a good idea at the time. No one ever brought it to my attention. But I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen to anyone else at least those that are on this site, Will know to look under the truck before taking the keys.
Thanks I don’t expect much from RAM or the dealer. I have not asked neither one of them for anything and I don’t intend to.
