Being from revvy.. i would go to your local PPF shop and have them apply about 4" of PPF to the very bottom of the leading edge of the front of the box. Just above that plastic trim piece. Mine seems to get peppered and its blasted down to bare metal now.

Curious, what is the advantage of the metal plate on the duraflaps? I'm not seeing a benefit of the additional $45.
 
I have the Gator back mud flaps. Yes they cost a pretty penny but with the life time warranty I felt it was a no brainer. As for the metal on the bottom I feel it adds to the look and it looks good in my opinion. I have yet to have any issues with them.

Strictly looks! I like and have added a similar ones to mud flaps in the past that didn't have that option when I purchased them. In a light material mud flap it could add some weight to keep them from lifting at highway speeds.
 
Just installed Husky mud guards. The winter has been so wet that the gravel driveway has churned up a lot of mud.
Mud flaps keep your truck clean.
 
3 months shy of a year, still rocking the MD flaps they put on. One of these days I might "upgrade".

I have seen a few trucks with stock wheels and black lug nuts now. Are you guys adding those or did they come factory?

I add them the factory come chrome and I have a hard time looking at the chrome against the black wheels. I got them off Amazon. I am actually ordering more for the new truck just built.

I recently had a chance to try both brands of mud flaps on the same dually setup (3500 DRW 2020 and 2022, same tire size, no lift, air suspension). While you can't really go wrong with either, I like the Husky's better because:
  • They're a little longer/more splash prevention
  • Their lines are cleaner, especially in the rear DRW flaps
  • You can often get better pricing for them.
Both include PPF strips (actually, I had to ask WeatherTech for strips for the rear flaps) and installation is simple, no-drill.

Here are some photos showing primarily the drop from the lowest point of the OEM fender/V-cap.

This is where I measured down from on the installed mud flaps.

Note: WeatherTech is more squared off while Husky is rounded...like most everything else on these trucks...including the drivers :cool:

WeatherTech has it's own sculpted line...that's awkwardly cut into by the V-cap on the rear flaps.

Nice comparison looking at the pictures I think the Husky does look nicer.
