Mud Flaps

Thanks to this thread I made a decision on mud flaps. Weather tech is local. Grabbed a set this morning curb side pickup and had them on later in the day. Easy install, look good. I’m happy, but I haven’t driven it at all.

Great looking truck! Great color and the Jeep in the background, I have the same wheels on my Rubicon Unlimited.
Your truck will be awesome when you get the 35’s on it!

Thanks! I got it from Ikonicbadges.com. If you buy one and remove the old badge, you have to heat it with a heat gun or hair dryer to loosed the double sided tape and then pry the RAM badge off. There are 2 tabs that hold the badge into the tailgate along with the double sided tape so the plastic clips will break but the clip holes will be covered by the new badge. I added so extra 3M double sided tape to make it real secure.

Yea I swapped my chrome ram for a black ram. If I knew about that flag sooner I may have gone that route. But I’m too invested in the black ram. Mopar was proud of it.

I installed Dura Flaps a week ago. I was able to use the fronts off my old truck and bought new for the rear. I believe in looking at the pictures Dura Flap hangs a little lower to possible give better protection, especially to a trailer.

I work at a Freightliner dealer and thought about doing the same thing. Ended up ordering Rokblokz xl mudflaps. Should be in today. Hope they look good
I just cut it in half and have a more hard rubber type flap then plastic. The screws kind of sink in and the washer keeps the screw head from popping through.

Rokblokz XL mudflaps installed. You do have to drill through the wheel well liner. I haven't done that yet. Wheels are 22x10 -18 offset and tires are 35x12.5R22 Ridge Grapplers.View attachment 10925View attachment 10926View attachment 10927View attachment 10928View attachment 10929

Awesome looking truck! What side steps are those that you have installed?

I live on a dirt/gravel road and definitely want to try and keep the rocks from chewing up my rocker panels. I'm trying to decide between the Weather Techs and the rubber Mopar flaps. I like the look and installation method of the Weather Techs but unsure of how well they protect the rocker panels. Also not a huge fan of the hard plastic because snow/ice buildup or going over big rocks when off road tend to tear them off... anyone had any issues with that? Also going to be putting some 285/75R18's on the stock wheels with stock suspension, anyone had any clearance issues with a similar setup?

If you want decent coverage don't get the Weathertechs. They look nice but not long or wide enough.

I have the Tyger steps found on Amazon. Bought my truck October 2019 and not many options out there plus they are decently priced for that off road look.

Just installed Weathertech no-drill molded mud flaps on my 2021 Limited. I kicked around multiple brands, but decided on WT after all my research. The installation could not of been easier, ~25 minutes to do all 4. Hardest part is to install/squeegee the clear protective strips during winter (may need to redo strips in spring). Here are some pictures to see them installed on a white truck.

Where did you get them from? I looked on WT website and they say they don't make them for my 21 3500...??

I may have inputted 2020 when I ordered direct from WT. Here are the P/N's from my invoice. FYI: I hate paying shipping and looked everywhere to find these with shipping included and no luck. WT will eliminate shipping if you order a 2nd item (but only from a selected list). I wanted the bug hood deflector, but that doesn't qualify as a 2nd item and shipping went up to $30 so I passed.
