Interior wear

I have had my Laramie 3500 since Oct. I am starting to notice some signs of premature wear on some interior surfaces. Primarily the drivers seat and steering wheel.

The seat bucket looks baggy all the time from where my wallet is in my back pocket. I carry a slim wallet so nothing too thick and I only weigh 165 so not excessive weight either.

The steering wheel is wearing poorly at 12 o'clock where my hand rests as I'm driving.

I also have had a bubble in the dash since delivery that my local dealer cant seem to get approved to fix. #Disappointed

Anybody else experience premature wear issues?

my tradesman is wearing very nicely. have 11.5k miles on it and the interior is good.

That makes me even more disappointed seeing as I paid a premium for Laramie over a Tradesman.

On the steering wheel: is that from your wedding ring ??
Yes. But still. Have had many trucks since I have been married. Just broke 11000 miles. Am I crazy or should this wear like this in a short amount of time?

I went to the local Ram dealer today. They took pictures and agreed it was abnormal wear. I am also waiting on a resolve to the bubble in the dash vinyl. Here's Hoping!

What was the outcome of your dealers inquiry ? Hopefully they replaced the steering wheel.

I had my 2018 for 35,000 miles and I decently noticed the wear in the seat like stretching leather I think this is why ford and Chevy have broken up the seat bottoms with more stitching.

I just bought the 2020 3500 Laramie 2 and I noticed that in the first 1000 miles the stretch started. I will keep notice of it and keep you all updated as well.

In the rear seat of my Limited, there is a sizable dent mark on the seat. NO idea why, nobody has ever even sat back there. I'm getting some wear on my driver's seat along the side. Kind of disappointing when you spend 70k+.

My truck is going in on Monday. They are replacing the worn seat, steering wheel and dash to fix the original bubble. Fingers crossed. Kind of nervous about them removing the dash.

I always am worried about dashboards cause I tint my windshield and all my windows for that matter. I have a guy at the dealership that takes care of me, the tech that works on my truck always comes and grabs me and brings me to the back. They are good to me which has been nice.

Always a good idea to be on good terms with anyone in life if you can, especially with those people who can help you out with warranty work !!

Absolutely, I have always tried to be on good terms with people in the back shop at the dealership my entire life... It has help me out immensely with getting things taken care of warranty related or not

My driver's seat in my limited. 16k miles and this all happened awhile ago.

Sometimes I get so pissed off that I feel like boycotting these Ram SOB's for not giving the HD's the same interior and features as the new 1500s. Different seats, telescopic sterling, dual pane moonroof, larger cab, etc.
