How do people feel about the new AEV bumpers?

AEV stuff is beautiful and well engineered. However, I learned from experience with my AEV Wrangler build that their products are only produced when they're hot. After that, you're on your own.

It would really suck to have the fenders, bumpers and wheels on my HD truck, only to need to replace something a few years down the road and everything is discontinued.

I understand, its just business and they gotta do what's best for the bottom line, but I called last week to order the HEMI swap kit for my Jeep and they discontinued it several months ago. You wouldn't know it if you looked at their website, like I've done several times a week over the last year.
Gives me a great excuse to get a new truck every few years!

Looks awesome Rshane. What size tires are you running?

.

Love that bumper, can't stand the gap between the top of the bumper and bottom of the lower "eyebrow". I don't know why they didn't fab something to at least cover that, it looks like it's unfinished (not because of your install but their design).
Yea, it’s normal for AEV. I’m looking into rubber inserts.

Finally got around to modding the exhaust tip to work with the extra clearance the AEV rear bumper gives. Just had them cut the tip and then rotate it up and then weld it in place. The tip basically sits horizontal now. I need to find a grey paint that matches the recovery points since mine have already been dinged up down to the bare metal. I may paint them red also.

Also, this pic reminded me to mention that the RAM bed step will only work with the secondary bed step bracket removed. This is the bracket RAM added as part of the recall for the bed step and it handling side/horizontal forces. I removed the bracket on mine so I could retain the step. I'm only about 160 pounds and try to only step straight down on the step.

Good idea. I ended up going with the AEV high clearance tip.

Any of you people who put the AEV rear bumper on your truck live in the southeast?

I’d love to get a power wagon rear bumper or a black rear bumper
