Don't buy a 2020 if you want to be comfortable driving. Factory tells me I have to live with it and won't do anything. My 2013 was fine, but this 2020 3500 Bighorn is horrible.

what specifically, do you not like about them? was that issue not noticed on the test drive?

I' take multiple 2k 2.5k mile road trips during the year in my t'man with cloth as well as my best friend's limited. I'm partial to my cloth seats, they feel softer to me, but those limited seats are pretty dang such. always comfy while pulling a 6 to 8hr drive.

curious what the issue is, other than the seats suck.

Test drive was not long enough to notice, cause back and leg pain after about 30 minutes, did not have this issue on my 2013 2500

They just cause lower back and leg pain after driving more than 30 minutes, I am not an engineer so don't know why, just know that my 2013 Bighorn had same type of seats and we're very comfortable

If you're like me, the older you get, the more pain you have sitting for long periods. In that case, it's not the seats.

New seats will also take time to conform well to your body, whereas the old seats were already set, so there's that.

Often, a small adjustment in position that may just take some time for one to acclimate to solves the problem.

Thanks for that, but it's definitely the seats. Even our economy model Jeep Cherokee I can drive on long trips with no issues and have since we bought it new a year ago.

The seats in my 2020 2500 Laramie are great. More comfortable than the ones that were in my 2019 1500 bighorn.

sometimes some small tilting of the lower pad or adjustment to the seat height or pedals is all that’s needed to make a huge difference. It sounds weird but I’ve adjusted seats to where I’m comfortable and found out that’s not the right position for long term driving. A slight tilt and nudge here and there and the seat feels awkward at first but ends up being the cats meow.

Thanks for that, and I have tried all positions, even had a chiropractor come outside and look at the seats, he thinks the design needs more bolstering at the back of the bottom section, and more support in the lumbar area.

Go to a reputable upholstery shop and see if they can add some foam to the seat in these areas. I have heard of this being done with great success.

Better than dueling banjos!

+1 on Brutal’s comments. I also thought my seats in my 2019 were uncomfortable compared to my previous RAMs. I’m older now, had multiple aggressive upper and lower back surgeries and like the OP was worried I was going to have an expensive problem with the seats. After a short period of time either the seats conformed to my body contour or my body adapted to the seats. Either way it worked out and I don’t notice it any longer, I have become one with the truck !! Give it some time and I bet the same thing will happen for you. Good luck.

Time will tell, stuck with it anyway

Might be able to get an upholstery shop to shave the foam for you? I did 1kmi in two days and felt fine afterwards.

I have a 2019 2500 Big Horn. I can ride in almost any car for hours and hours comfortably. 2 hours in this truck and I have back pain for days. It really sucks.
I don't have back pain under any other conditions, just riding in this truck. I have about 13,000 miles on it. It is a real bummer
