What's funny Anthony? Not trying to start a contest....but I used it in my 4th gen 1500 and my current 2500. Nice to just slide it around the lip of the map pocket in my truck or my wife's vehicle. Then can use it to carry when out of my rig. No drilling, etc... LMK if you want a pic.
I took a look at the product when you mentioned it.
There is another thread on here about using magnets to secure a gun in a vehicle. You're an adult and can do as you wish, but I would not recommend using a magnet. You're more likely to get into a car accident than have to use that gun in a self-defense situation. You don't want that gun flying around your cabin or getting stuck under your brake pedal.
The magnet is a convenience. Not a form of retention.
I mounted mine the way I did because it's physically bolted to the truck and my holster has a ALS level 1 retention system to keep the gun in the holster. Before this I used a normal kydex holster inside my center console (and will still use it depending on where I park).
