Grid heater failure - 2500 6.7

Last I heard Banks also has some significant delays in delivering their monster ram.

Being in Minnesota I was concerned about cold weather starting, so went with the BD Diesel unit. I think all 3 will do the job, it is just a matter of cost and overall performance goals.

They got pretty backlogged when they put the unit on sale.

I got my dual heat unit in about 10 days after I ordered it. Not fast by any means, but certainly wasn’t what some others had experienced before.

I did do the Banks Monster Ram - not so much for the Grid heater bolt. If I had to do it it again I would have just disconnected the grid heater.
sstoner911: if not for the grid heater bolt, then why? What were you looking for or hoping for?
I'm looking in the direction of the banks purely for the grid heater.
I couldn't understand how or where the Glacier installed with the throttle body .

The Glacier Diesel kit is a better option all around if you still want a decent grid heater (or not) without using a stupid intake horn glow plug in the banks that's mostly ineffective anyway. The GDP is a repalcement plenum that flows better and can use either the OE intake horn or aftermarket and offers the option of a single or dual grid heater that's outside the plenum.
Brutal_Ho: where does the Glacier install?

This is the dual on an older truck, the single element heater is thinner.
