Fog light for 2019 Tradesman

yah man, that looks great!!

Nice video by Diode Dynamics comparing fog lights. A lot of which will work on our trucks.

I understand you had someone else hook up the lights. I just ordered the same from Diode Dynamics, haven’t received it yet. I saw the pigtail that came with them in the pic you posted. Will that pigtail, plus the wiring harness in the bag of connectors I received when I bought my truck be long enough to connect from the light to the fuse box? I would think not.

No, it will not be near long enough. Also, they removed and replaced the wires in the fog light pigtail so there's no splice.

Figured. So I guess I need to find a connection long enough or find a place to wire it for me

You only use one end of the SS3 wire harness and cut the other end off. Then add enough wire to run the power wires to your uppfitter wire and the other to a ground. As I said earlier, Retroshop replaced the wires in the harness so they could home run it to the upfitter connection and ground. Looks much cleaner.

For the better part of the past 2 days I have been going round and round with the people at Ram Care over the fold out tow mirrors,. I have been told by 3 different people that there is " nothing available in regards to mirror upgrades" I asked what would happen if I bought the fold out mirrors.., is the plug the same? would the main part of the mirror and the heated element work? I understand that the puddle light, turn signal and spot mirror adjustment would all not work. I asked if I purchased the mirrors and the controls in the door could the dealer Flash the truck to make the mirrors work as they should? They wont tell me. I would be surprised if Dodge uses more than one wiring harness in these trucks I understand some things may be missing and need to be added . Funny, the trailer control unit was in the truck next to mine on the lot but yet its not available. LOL good luck! Let me know how you make out.

I had a similar issue with a dealer here in Georgia. I 'purchased' a 2500 with the top notch towing package, but it was ordered without the tow mirrors. So, I signed a 'we owe' from the dealer and made arrangements to pick the truck up in a week. Well after nearly daily calls, the dealer literally switched trucks on me for one with the tow mirrors, but without some of the options on the truck I originally purchased. The reasoning was the same, they told me the mirrors were not available. I also asked what would happen if I inadvertently ripped a mirror off? No response! Then I told them that aftermarket mirrors were available for $1300. They again, just stared at me in wonder. I then told them that they could cannabalize a set from another truck, and they said they couldn't legally do that.
So, it was LEGAL/OK for them to try a bait and switch on the truck, but not to fulfill their 'we owe'! Needless to say, I walked away from the deal and made them give me back my in full CASH payment, not a check! It was hilarious watching them scrape together 40K+ cash on a Saturday!
It is truly sad what some disreputable dealers will TRY to get away with!
BTW, the dealer was Five Star in Warner Robbins, GA.

I was wondering IF anybody on this thread actually tried the headlight switch push-in for the fog lights? I have the wiring harness' for them on my 2019 3500 Tradesman, they are just taped up and zip-tied to the frame. And when I push my headlight switch, the driving light dash light comes on in amber because nothing is connected to the wiring harness. I was just wondering!

thats not fogs. thats your cargo light. you'd need to change headlight switches with a factory one that has fogs AND cargo.

Took the truck in to have the head light and tail light assemblies replaced with OEM LEDs. They offered to wire up the fogs since everything was apart. They are hooked up through AUX1 on the upfitter switches.
Fogs and

Whatd the dealer charge you for the lights, and install?

I didn’t take the truck to the “the” dealer. It went to retroshop.us They used my truck as their model to make directions for their products. I paid retail for the lights and got a deal on install

Finally got it done. Thanks to everyone for the great info. I disabled the Front Fog Lamp Drop Out feature so that the fog lights will stay one with the high beams. I also enabled the feature where they light up when you turn the wheel. I wired into the BCM connectors and used a factory light switch. That was tough to work on, very hard to get to.

For the fog lights, H11. I ordered these with the female connectors to make my harnesses. The fog lights take just the male H11: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H896JM4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For BCM I ordered these: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetai...qIKWSgsY3Ww==&countrycode=US&currencycode=USD

Here is a pic of them from another forum:

And, for reference, I got a lot of info from this thread (you will see my questions posted) This is a good source of information if you want to make it like a factory setup: https://www.ramforum.com/threads/fog-lights-on-a-tradesman.153677/

Hope this helps!

I appreciate the info. Keeping it function as stock is key.

My 2020 Tradesman doesn’t have fog lights nor does it have the fog light switch.

I found a replacement switch with the fog light switch, my question is, does the factory harness already have the fog light wires in it?

Thanks for all the great info in this thread!

If your truck came without fogs expect it to not have any harness/plugs for the lights. I have the same truck and just ordered everything (most me hopes) with the help of this thread. I also found the Mopar dash switch that includes the fog light on/off function. I went with Diode Dynamics for the lights. I will post my trials and accomplishments once everything comes in and I make some progress.
