I have been looking for a truck for about a month. There is only one near me and they won't move to my dealer in an amicable way. They aren't very friendly, so I am going to order. Let me know if there is anything else you would recommend.
2500 Crew Cab 6'4" bed zynith silver
5th wheel gooseneck prep
Laramie Level 2 +
Night edition
Towing Technology
Sunroof
Rubber floor mats
6.7L
Transfer case skid plate
Back up alarm
Hard tonneau cover
Cab light delete
Thanks

I'd remove the rubber mats, skid plate, and tonneau.
Why finance the cost of those items that can be added easily later...?

Also, do you understand the back up alarm is the safety beep like a delivery truck.... Not reverse sensor proximity beep?

Finally, 2500 + 6.7 = not great payload...
Since you're adding the towing/5th wheel prep I'll assume you intend to use it.... Look at price difference to step up to SRW 3500....many regret when they realize that low payload is their limitation.

Thanks for the heads up on the back up alarm! I didn't understand that.
My current ride is paid off. I would rather pick up the truck and be done. I was assured the tonneau was a hard cover and at the price to add it, was not worth going aftermarket.
As soon as I pick up the truck, it will be window tint, level, tires and shocks. Anything I can eliminate from me having to do , is a win.

'27MY's are right around the corner as far as order banks opening up, probably in the next 2 or 3 months if you're willing to wait. '26MY is almost finished up.
But what would I gain by getting a 27 MY? My current ride is giving me trouble. I am traveling a lot more. Any miles I put on it lessens my trade in value. And the price will probably go up. There are several packages on the 26MY that have gone up from the beginning of the MY to now.

No worries.... Also I was apparently editing my original comment to add more when you replied.

With very few exceptions, anyone that orders a truck without the AUX switches regrets doing so.

The other regret is usually getting a 2500 and finding out there's not enough payload to haul a 5th wheel or truck camper.

I am in a 2500 now. I do overload it but I never travel further than 11 miles each way with that load. The majority of the time it will be on I10 between Houston, TX & Lafayette, LA. The softer suspension on our crappy roads is worth the trade off.
The gooseneck prep is it is just easier in case I get one sort of deal. I won't be upgrading tractors any time soon. It is a little to much for a bumper pull but wouldn't even make the right GN flinch.
Switches......I haven;t added anything that needed a switch in years. I have everything I usually need wired into my trailer tool box. but is a good suggestion if I wanted to add lights.

That's exactly what happened to me. Went from a Dodge Dakota to the RAM 2500 thinking, "This is a 3/4 ton truck and now I can get a camper and hit the road!" WRONG! With the coil springs I'm limited to either an old-style light camper or a popup, neither of which I'm interested in. I should have gone with the 3500. I can still tow a decent small trailer, but the freedom of having a camper heading to Alaska or cross county on back roads is what I really desire.

Since you're going to order, check out Mark Dodge for ordering. I ended up opting out of mine due to shipping damage(not their fault), but they had great pricing and easy to deal with.

5th wheel prep and 3500 as well. I have a 2025 DRW and the ride is not as bad as you would think (better than my 2013 F250) I would also say Aux switches as that gives you all kinds of options.

Lights, underhood LED's, BD 2-lo lockout, etc. Unless they fixed it and offer the 4-button Aux, it is mutually exclusive with the trailer tow tech level whatever that includes the trailer steer option.

Also 2nd going through Mark Dodge in LA, hard to find a better deal.

Evidently I live in a pretty crappy area for service across all brands! I am in a 2023 AT4 HD gasser. First time I have been away from a Dodge/Ram since 2003. The engine or tranny aren't the problem, All sorts of electrical gremlins, leaky roof, and had to change the rear coil springs under 50k miles but after 36k miles. My pocketbook has been hit hard since January. I started using a dealer when I had Rams. They also have a GMC dealer. Well they put 15w 40 in my gasser and really handled it all wrong. Now all these issues pop up. Every dealer had a 4 week wait time for anything other than an oil change. Question 1: Who is your salesman? Question 2: Did you buy here?
Mark Dodge rubbed me the wrong way. Wouldn't lower the TPMS or get Factory flares put on. Even by a 3rd party.
Local Ram dealership: Sales guy has been awesome! I have been talking to him for a month. Mark Dodge has a truck I want and they were going to try and swap one with them. I heard the majority of the conversation and couldn't believe the attitude. They are cutting me a hell of a deal for placing the order. Getting my flares done and lowering TPMS. They take really good care of the wife's Rubicon even though it wasn't bought there. At the end of the day, I get a fresh build within $1k of Mark Dodge and support the local small town dealer.
