Send us your VIN. The bulld sheet will tell the tale. No way a dealer would install this stuff to make the vehicle more appealing to sell. Cost too much to do it after the truck is made.
As someone new, let me tell you that creating a mess for the mods by cross posting in several forums is not going to be acceptable behavior here.
Your posts have been merged into a single thread. Please avoid creating another mess.
Furthermore, your post is quoting a reference to lane sense and adaptive steering, and the steering gear parts, yet you're asking about ACC (adaptive cruise control). It's very nonsensical.
An accusation that a dealer went through the trouble of replacing your steering wheel and disabling a feature you claim to have had is also perplexing.
Please provide a picture of your steering wheel and the VIN.
Well this is what the dealer did. Doesn’t show up anywhere but I had it right there on steering wheel and now it’s not there. Maybe they messed up a harness and just took that, I don’t know. That’s why I’m here.Send us your VIN. The bulld sheet will tell the tale. No way a dealer would install this stuff to make the vehicle more appealing to sell. What trim do you have? Post photos of your rearview mirror as well as your steering whee
This is not AI. Just an average dude who’s been robbed looking for help.I feel like AI is getting out of hand and is scanning for recent topics discussed and then making posts about said topic in an almost believable way lately. Why, I don't know.
The buttons on mine had been removed obviously. You will have the ACC buttons on the steering wheel and the large shroud on the windshield in front of the mirror, the exterior of the windshield will look like this in the upper center. Pictures aren't the greatest but the non ACC trucks look quite a bit different.

You sound like the dealer. I had it because ACC light would come on after pushing steering wheel control . And most importantly me and my wife were amazed how well it slowed down on its own. That’s why I’m here. I did all the research you did before coming here. I know what the vin lookup gets me already.Nope. Never installed in the vehicle. See the attached build sheet for your truck. It has speed control but not adaptive cruise control. Yes it has lost of extras but you must be dreaming about ACC. There was a time around that model year that Ram could not source certain options due to supply issues.

What’s with the name calling? Is this allowed in forums or only responding to posts in related forums isn’t allowed? I appreciate the help but that’s why I’m here. I want some out of the box thinking here. I did all the basic research.Listen DICK. I was trying to help!!!!!!! I went to significant effort to look this **** up. I suggest contacting your lawyer. Good luck with that.
And by the way, I work in manufacturing and I know for a fact that build sheets are not always accurate. This truck was custom ordered also and did not follow the standard protocol in this regard.Nope. Never installed in the vehicle. See the attached build sheet for your truck. So it could have been missing for some time.Sorry, I had it serviced a few times. At the time I noticed it missing, I wasn’t driving it much. Just for pulling RV for camping mostly.
I don't have ACC on my truck, so what buttons were removed? Your steering wheel looks intact to me.The buttons on mine had been removed obviously.
I custom ordered my truck and the build sheet listed exactly what was on the the truck when it was delivered. No deviation. NONE.And by the way, I work in manufacturing and I know for a fact that build sheets are not always accurate. A plastic cover is a long way from accusing a dealer of swapping out (stealing) modules, cameras, steering wheel and windshield. Doesn't make any sense. Suggest he go to the original selling dealer for any proof he is looking for. The dealer might have some photos that were taken for advertisement purposes. A photo showing the windshield and/or steering wheel will show if it has ACC or not.So it could have been missing for some time.
I worked at a Dodge Truck Dealership in 1975 at 17 years old at $2.10 per hour. The Service Manager at the dealership that I worked for demanded for me to swap a cracked new Dodge B Series van engine plastic cover from a customer that wanted it replaced with another customer's just purchased van's engine cover. Also to remove a nice leather cover with map pockets from a new van out on the lot and place it over the cracked one. I got fired for refusing. It wasn't right.
