If I'm gonna do PPF, I'd rather get all the fender wrapped so that the mud sitting inside the flare doesn't sit directly against my fender. I'm hitting up a shop later this week to see if they can do that for me.
Plus, if I ever decide I no longer want the flares, then I'd have to remove that inch strip of ppf. But if I get the whole thing covered, I could actually leave it on and I think it'd look fine.
The thing I hate about rubber mud flaps is how they bend into the tire and get ripped off when I'm offroad. I have lots of vehicles with rubber flaps and every single one of them has had at least 1 ripped off. I've never had that issue with my WT's. Just blows my dang mind they haven't made their own set for these $100,000 Rebel trucks.
The perk with the black trim is you could still use the double-sided 3M tape with a few of the OEM plastic clips to keep it from chattering. Full strip of PPF still gets my vote if I can figure out how to get it done right.
