DIY: Add Aux Switches to 19+ Ram 2500 Laramie 6.7L

At the time some of the pins were not available or out of stock. Anytime I build a harness now i use updated connectors. Only one I haven't used yet is one listed in a previous post from the other day which ill order some next time i build one. I believe all the pins now are Yazaki.
Ok so I don't have to yank my PDC again just to measure.. the larger spades that are power feed from buss to relay then over to fuse is infact yazaki 6.3 and the smaller one is 2.8? I intend on using an ignition switched circuit using a piggyback add a circuit from main PDC to use for my new aux circuit as switch for the relay, is this an ok route? Plan on utilizing the mini relays position and 15a fuze for this as it's only gonna be running eventually 2 radios, cb and gmrs both should only be 10a and probably never together. Probably split the power to each radio under the center stack each will be individually 10a fused closer to the radio. Thank you also for confirming the connector I've been going apeshit.

Would anyone know th part number for the AUX PDF, the box itself. I messed up some of the clips while trying to wire it and need to replace it.

You can’t get it on its own. You have to buy the entire kit.

Fair enough. Another thing I've wondered. What's the purpose of the splitter harness? When I received my PDC, the instructions were to feed the six leads through the firewall into the back of the xy123 plug. Mine already had wires where the new ones needed to be. All the same color codes, two were in swapped locations. I removed the factory wires and inserted the new six in the correct locations. I'm actually kind of stumped as to what the original six went to in the truck, as everything still works.

With my harness it just bypasses the XY connector. Much easier to do that way. You can do it either way and get the same results.

I just picked up my brand new 2024 Limited 3500 and it does not have the aux switchbank, instead it has that stupid knob for trailer steer when backing up. I don't need help backing a trailer, but I do need the Aux switches to control extra equipment I will add. I should be able to remove that panel and just replace it with the 68376644, correct?

I’m not sure on that. I sold one to a guy a while back that had the same setup and he was going to try to retrofit his but I don’t think they are a direct fit.

It might be worth pulling the centerstack out and seeing what the harness back there looks like. If it’s the same then theoretically you could just get the switchback that has the same buttons as yours but adds the aux switches and just either unplug or tuck the knob back behind it. But hard to tell what options you have without seeing it

If the truck has the Trailer reverse steering, not only does that have to come out, but the radio bezel would need to also be swapped as the traction control button is on the lower switch panel instead of the top of the radio.

If you don't have the trailer steering, then the question that nobody has appeared to have ever answered is, "What is already present for the "AUX prep kit that comes on the 23+ trucks?"

Are there already 6 micro relays and 6 fuses populated in the Aux PDC locations (in addition to the 3 diesel cabin heater fuses)?

Brutal_HO: Do you know of anyone who has the trailer knob (like me) and was successful in replacing it with the AUX switches? I have that damn thing and didn't want it.

Thank you, I will do just that. I will get photos and share them here. If It looks like it would be possible, I will definitely be purchasing a kit from you if you are still making them.

Thanks for the thread everyone. I was able to source aux switches for a power wagon. Purchased a $30 aftermarket PDC on amazon as well as a short 6 wire cable. All works great! Only out about $250 for it all.

Need to clean up the wires a bit, but my leads for the switches are all 10 gauge, so should be able to connect whatever I need. I have a 500 watt pure sine inverter on one. And 8 offload lights spread across 2 others. I have plans for airbag pump on one as well. The PDC fit and screwed right into the stock bolt holes which was suprising.

Happen to have a link to the PDC you bought on Amazon? Thanks!

Was the guy who bought it from here? If so, I'd like to get his handle on here and message him to see if he got it going on his after removing the trailer steering panel. Thanks!

Has anyone accomplished the OE look this way:
1. Replace existing Aux PDC with: 82216450AB Auxiliary Switch Bank Kit RAM 2500 3500 Mopar (2021-2023) OEM - Mopar (82216450AB) (already wired for aux switches) ~$450
2. Relocate existing relays/fuses/wiring for seat heat etc from old aux PDC to new.
3. Run the 6 leads through firewall to panel
4. Replace existing non-aux switch panel with: https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-instrument-panel-switch-68596339aa ~$170
5. Sell old piano key panel and incorrect panel in kit (step 1) on ebay ~$150-$250 total
6. ?
7. Profit!

1st Ram truck (2019 3500 Big Horn). Interested in adding the aux switches to my truck and have ordered the switch panel from TascaParts (per spreadsheet - 68376642AE but superseded to 68596338AA). Posted question yesterday about this because tow/haul and exhaust brake where in different order but was helped out on that, thank you @jsalbre. I was going to purchase the bypass cable from Infotainment but @Florotory if you have the bypass cable and complete harness kit for sale I would rather support a member and purchase everything from you. I'm leaning to the Windows version of AlphaOBD and actually read somewhere this is the preferred method.
Long time viewer, first time chatter. I have accomplished the complete install down to the settings in AlphaOBD, however, I have the same issue with the exhaust brake and tow/haul being switched. My ‘factory’ switch panel works when plugged in still with the aux settings enabled in Alpha, but NOTHING on the new switch panel works. What was the fix for this?

Are the switches in the same location on the switch panel as the original one?
