Hi everyone!

I'm a newbie diesel owner, and I just purchased a 2021 Ram 3500 DRW. I came from a 6.4L 2500 which was my daily driver and pulled a 10,000 lb travel trailer. The 6.4 pulled well, but I got real tired of having to stop at every gas station to fuel up. Also, since it was a gasser, I had to "pre-plan" my stops every 130 miles or so (for fuel), and use Google Maps to look at the gas station to ensure I can maneuver inside the gas islands with a 36-foot travel trailer. More than once I ended up having to back out. I'm really looking forward to going a little bit further (with my 50 gallon tank) and using the pull-through truck lanes to refuel.

Planning on upgrading to a 5th wheel in the future.

I look forward to any and all advice on how to properly take care of my truck being a first-time diesel owner. (It does feel intimidating at first!)

Congratulations hope you got the 50 gallon fuel tank like I did it's a godsend.

Congrats. Welcome to the asylum.

My 2020 RAM 3500 DRW came with a 32 gallon tank. I had a 55 gallon Titan put on it. Went from a scary 250 range pulling the 5th wheel camper to a comfortable 400 mile range. I do not drive that far without stopping, but I can now stop at scenic spots instead of refueling stops.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to stopping when I want to, not when I have to! (Except I have a wife and two daughters...I'll probably be stopping when THEY want too...)

Congrats and welcome to HDRams!
I couldn't help but notice at the bottom of your info it states "Douglas County, CO." I grew up in Douglas County. I lived in Acres Green (just south of County Line Road, close to I-25), moved to Parker, and attended (at the time) Parker Junior High and Ponderosa High School.

It's changed unbelievably since we moved here in 92 a few years after I got out of the Army, and to some degree for the worse. Still ranked as one of the top 5 places to live and we like it here for the most part. We live close in, surrounded by the town on three sides of our subdivision. Wife works 2.5 miles away and I commute to DIA as needed.

Kids went to pine lane elementary and then to Chaparral, a new HS that opened in 1997. DougCo now has 3 high Schools.

Drive it , change the oil and filters . DONE ! Learn how to change your own fuel filters . Utube has videos . The dealers gouge you on labor and fuel filter cost . Oil change not so much.
