DEF Shortage coming to USA?

How long can your box of DEF sit for? Shelf life?

The shortage is on UREA but most DEF is made with American Hogs piss (UREA) Dont listen to the news and you will enjoy life more

Our area is running low, the expensive($14.99) blue def seems to be around, but we're used to $9.99 for 2.5 gallons. I was about to purchase the Super Tech walmart stuff, but noticed it doesn't have the ISO certification

From cummins website , Q. What is the shelf life of DEF? A. The shelf life of DEF is a function of ambient storage temperature. DEF will degrade over time depending on temperature and exposure to sun light. Expectations for shelf life as defined by ISO Spec 22241-3 are the minimum expectations for shelf life when stored at constant temperatures. If stored between 10 and 90 deg F, shelf life will easily be one year. If the maximum temperature does not exceed approximately 75 deg F for an extended period of time, the shelf life will be two years

API cert is what your looking for, and it’s right on the front label.

From what I read to get API DEF certification it is require to meet ISO 22241 standards.
I been using DEF out of the pump on all my trucks and never had a issue. I never notice any certifications or ISO stickers. Honestly I never looked for them and I plan to continue filling up at the pump.

The API Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Certification Program is a voluntary program designed to certify and monitor the quality characteristics of diesel exhaust fluid intended for use in motor vehicles with diesel engines. Diesel exhaust fluid marketers that have demonstrated that their products satisfy the requirements of the most recent and applicable edition of ISO 22241, Diesel engines – NOx reduction agent AUS 32, may be licensed to display the API Diesel Exhaust Fluid Certification Mark.

I don't know whether it's just a regional thing or if it just hasn't caught up to this area yet
