Dauntless 392 - Project

What if you used a more open skid plate like the OEM on the Power Wagon?
It's more tubes than a big plate. Allows more airflow but keeps out the big stuff.

I have a 8 position handle switch in the Jeep. If they have a 8 position I will get it otherwise I will get the 4 position. Thanks for the find, not trying to hijack your thread. Voswitch was sold out but I guess Rebel off road had some.

That A pillar grip handle switch (four switches) setup is Cool!!!
I have been on the fence of picking one of these up... but I am getting an AEM wideband O2 sensor that I want to install there - so I just need to make sure I don't want any additional pods, order the pod a-pillar, then get one of these (I believe the switch just replaces the current insert, but I could be wrong .... and too lazy to check quick)

Don't worry about hijacking - this thread is meant to be more than just about my build.... it's a place to share mod/performance ideas, share knowledge, and help solve each other's issues.

Once I finish a major side project for the forum, it will be a place to come and learn the foundational elements necessary to understand in order to tune the ole BGE 6.4l

I have the OEM tubes right now, but I can't remember if they actually even cover the engine/header area.... I will know soon when the headers get in (I just got the camshaft kit in today)...

But that is a good idea. I don't think additional bars would contribute too greatly to heat accumulation.... That said, in my purchasing of a wide-band O2 and a few other higher end instruments for metering.... I really want to have the security of a plate covering it all.

We will see when I get phase 2 of this project knocked out what the temps look like and go from there.... but I think you are on to something with going the bar style (or even a half bar/half plate, but I am sure I would have to fabricate something like that)
