Anyone know if the new Cummins recall is applicable to our trucks? It says b6.7 cummins engines used in trucks.. but doesn't say which trucks!!!!

Ugh...... I literally just did 3 recalls and hoping this isn't applicable to the RAM's.

Isn't this a surprise.. I'm just getting dressed to go to my dealer and take delivery of my new 6.7 3500. Now the question is, do I take delivery and possibly let it catch on fire or tell the dealer to call me when it is fixed ?

@Rich, it looks like you are in the same boat as me.

Looks like it applies to commercial diesel engines used in school buses and stuff. Hopefully not every Cummins!

Agree...a bit of searching Cummins site, it looks to be not related to the RAM Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. Hopefully!

I just did some more research an our model is the b6.7. Wich is what they said the model was . It also said
Nearly 70,000 Cummins engines are affected, including those for buses, trucks and emergency vehicles.
Wich, to me would imply all vehicles with the b6.7 AND TO ALSO INCLUDE buses trucks an E vehicles. So im thinking were included, but we will see in time i guess

Recall is not showing for my vehicle in the mopar owners site. build date 3/18

While our engines are a B6.7, there are quite a few differences between the pickup engines, and the industrial or marine versions, aside from power ratings. For instance, AFAIK, ours are the only ones with the timing case at the front of the engine. So, hard to say.

So in other words it's like buying a duelly thinking they are all the same, when one might haul 20k an the other next to it might haul 35k

We have ISB6.7 engines, Cummins recall applies to D313029BX03 configurations. My engine configuration is listed as D313028BX03, so would appear to not apply.

Going to be interesting to see wich ones will need to go in

Look at the artical date, it was in 2016. I doubt that it has anything to do with our engines.

I think we need to read the full re-call before posting and freaking every one out. Commercial trucks not Ram trucks.
