Crusty's 75th Annv PW #1590 build/mods adventure

So ordered some new parts based on a email reply I got from CJC offroad (Our recommendation is to go with Apex steering as it will offer better track bar and stabilizer compatibility, and Apex offers a lifetime warranty on the steering linkage and joints. Synergy is still a solid option, but they do not have a warranty on their joints, and you can only use their steering stabilizers with select track bars.)
Hope this is the final parts to fix my steering/mini death wobble/ tire cupping issues.

Eager to hear your long term review on the Apex setup. Was initially hearing a lot of hype but have started hearing some issues around the star bolt locks and such. It could be poor install, who knows. I'd stay away from synergy stuff for track bars. I hear nothing but complaints about their joints failing constantly.

If you're having death wobble issues, I'd look into this frame side track bar mount from Thuren (Link). This was a pretty consistent issue in my time with Jeeps, and every time I had death wobble, or heard of someone who did, and couldn't figure it out, installing a frame side track bar mount solved the issue.

I can't speak to if it's the same thing with dodge, but I'd assume it's similar since their suspension is functionally identical just larger. Basically the track bar angle, matched with the larger mass from aftermarket tires and wheels, causes the frame side track bar mount to deform in some slight way. With my jeeps it was often that the mounting hole would start to ovalize but you could not tell without taking the track bar out because the compression was still tight enough that you couldn't move it by hand.

Either way, I hope that you're new steering setup is solid. I really want to iron out what I'm gonna do when I eventually wreck my OEMs, but thus far nothing seems like the best option.

When I put the Carli track bar in, everything looked good. No allowed out holes or wear on the bolts. And it did help with my tire cupping and some of the death wobble.
So now, on to the second phase with the steering linkage and stabilizer

So did about a 60 mile drive to town and back. Steering feels tighter and truck handles better.
I just need to center the steering wheel now and lock everything into place.
Funny thing though, on my way to town, I got a service stability control warning. Will look to see if I hit something or pulled a plug, but I doubt it.
Could it be from the steering wheel being off center?
