2020 Ram 2500 Megacab bought in March 2020. Had 7200 miles on it when the CP4 took a dump two days ago. I was hauling a 24' car trailer from LA to Las Vegas, when it threw error messages, and lost almost all power - it was slowly getting slower and slower - a bit scary. I was barely able to get it off the freeway. Once I squeaked off the freeway, I was able to find a spot to pull over and turned it off. Engine wouldn't restart. Called a tow company and fortunately a Ram dealer was close by (Victorville) - actually only 3 miles from where I was stranded. They also towed my trailer to the dealer so it was in a safer location for a mere $150 - the tow of the truck was at no charge. Had to Uber to a hotel room for the night, and then got a rental car the next morning. Dropped by the dealer in the morning and they said they might have some idea what was going on by Wednesday! (failure happened on Sunday, spoke with dealer on Monday morning). Drove back home to Las Vegas on Monday (yesterday), and today picked up an Enterprise Ram 2500 truck rental, and drove back to the dealer in Victorville where I left the trailer. Hauled the trailer back home by this evening. Heard from the dealer that it was confirmed as a CP4 failure. I will be handling all communication through a case manager with FCA. The dealer acted like they could care less that my 6 month old truck left me and my family stranded 200 miles from home.
