I’ve got a 21’ 3500 SRW with a 2” Thuren level kit. I’m thinking about getting some 37” tires, what will it take as far as trimming goes?

Depends on the wheel offset and what tires as most 37’s are not actually 37”. Some setups will need nothing, some with a large negative offset will need lots of trimming and turning in your man card as they look awful lol.

The wheel offset of the rims I’m looking at are 47mm

You'll want 25 area for no to minimal rubbing. I ran CJC Method 315s and 37s on a stock truck with very minor trimming.

So do you think with a 2” level and 47 offset I’d have to trim any metal?

Here you go, 2”level, Thuren frt sway bar , no cutting or trimming, very minor rub on trail arms at full lock

Sorry , no pics, so minor I don't feel it or hear anything rubbing, just noticed a rub mark in the paint when i had the truck up on a lift for an oil change, the paint has not been rubbed off either. Keep in mind these are 11.50 tires and I had to change the sway bar to a Thuren because it did rub the sway bar more than I liked at full lock.

10-4. What you did tire wise is exactly what I was looking to do, that’s why I asked. Looks good. Do you notice a slight fwd rake? Can’t quite tell in the picture, that’s what the Thuren sites says with the 2” and that’s the way I’d like it to be so I’m not nose high pulling my TT.

For me, hate nose high, im with you, I never measured but im probably 1/2-1" lower in the front.

How is your fuel mileage now with those? Do you like the RT01s
I had 35” ATW3 on at 12.5mpg, with the 37’s I went to 12mpg, but I did not buy a 3/4 ton pickup for fuel economy. Love the R/T’s, ride is good and plowed really well this winter.

I’m lucky to get 12mpg and I’m on 35’s. Tires have about 6 months left on them before I go to 37’s. Again mpg was not a thought when buying a 3/4 Gas truck

IMG_0112.jpegIn hindsight, no trimming was needed but drilling 2, 1/8 inch holes and using a zip tie to secure it to a hole pre-drilled for side steps I’m assuming pulled the fender liner back just far enough to avoid contact. IMG_0623.jpeg

Thank you for this. That’s the exact kit I have and the tires I was thinking of running. You’re my hero!

Where are the rubbing points? I'm running 255x85R17s on 0 offset 17x8.5s. No rubbing but looking small. Thinking of going to 37x12.50s on new 17x9 +25 offset rims.

I have an aftermarket front bumper, so no clearance issues there. What about the back of the wheelwell?
