Sounds like a bunch of crap. You're VIN should be proof to them of who owns the 2500. I'm not really that interested in jumping through hoops just to get a mopar account. It's not that important.hopefully ram cares can help, but i had a similar experience.
When I sold my 1500 for the 2500 I manually removed the 1500 from my ram account. When I went to add the 2500 it wouldnt let me. After trying a mess of stuff I got on the phone with Ram and they said I needed to send them a copy of my sale information from the dealership to prove the purchase so they could add the 2500 to the ram account.
FWIW I havent done it yet, but at least I know there's a way.
I just realized I may have mis read your post - is this for a truck that use to show up in the MOPAR account or a new purchase?Sounds like a bunch of crap. Yes. I had added the truck to the account when I first purchased it. A couple years later I accessed the account again; no truck listed and unable to add it back.I just realized I may have mis read your post - is this for a truck that use to show up in the MOPAR account or a new purchase?

I have add issues where the dealership linked the purchase of a past truck under my wife's email vs mine. That truck would only show up under her Mopar account for her Chrysler 300. You may want to see how the dealer set up the ownership information (if they did) that gets linked to the MOPAR accounts. The VIN and owner email is linked together so if the email is different from yours it wont allow you to add the VIN.
Ya thats strange.Yes. I had added the truck to the account when I first purchased it. A couple years later I accessed the account again; no truck listed and unable to add it back.
I agree sort of. The only thing about it I find useful is to double check the Ram dealer service records they input after filter change, etc. I have had them make mistakes in the data entry. One example is service at 4,867 miles and they put the mileage as 48,670. If you do your own service maintenance then I don't know what you would use a Mopar account for? Maybe helpful for recalls if you remember to check, but those usually come in the mail or in email anyway. Or get talked about here.I'm not really that interested in jumping through hoops just to get a mopar account. It's not that important.
