Borla S Type exhaust

Does the Borla exhaust get rid of the muffler that looks like an after thought on the 6.4’s? I never cared for the way they seem to be wedged up in there at an angle.

$100+ cheaper...I will wait.

How long did it take you? I've never worked on an exhaust before...want to save a few bucks and install it myself (no lift or blocks).
Took about an hour and a half...start to finish. I had a lift and and an extra set of hands. It can be done on the ground. Might be a bit tougher though.

So the OEM pipe clamps are riveted on.

The Borla kit only came with 2 pipe clamps....soo gotta drill out the old one to install the new setup.

I recently had the Borla system installed on my PW. It’s is amazing indeed and a worthy mod. I’ve only been around town so far, but it’s got a nice deep tone but not overly loud while getting around the neighborhood.

Yeah it's kind of a bastard on the ground getting the resonator section out. Anyone else have leaks at the joints? Mine drip.

I didn't have to do anything like that with mine.

Mine came with 3.
I bought the new model for the '22 PW (2500 6.4L). Even the instructions listed that only 2 pipe clamps camp with the kit....not that big of a deal, just wasn't expecting to have to drill out the rivets.

Interesting!

I just bought the same one, so will let you know how many I get. The parts list shows only 2, however the step-by-step instructions indicate there should be three (Steps 2, 4, and 5)

Love the sound at idle.

Sounds awesome! Is this a cold start? Had the ATAK on my old F150 5.0 and cold start was pretty loud on winter mornings @04:30 going to work. The neighbors knew I was up, I live in a condo. Can you post a drive by video?
Really thinking about this, I’m only 15 miles from their factory.
