I have a 2020 power wagon I put a solo performance MR400 muffler on not happy with it WAY too much drone. Anybody every put the borla cat back s type even tho the websites say it’s only until 18? I saw in reviews that it will fit the 2020 new body style still? Thanks

Lot of people installing that exhaust on their 2019+ trucks. I had been looking and wondering about the drone while towing.

Not sure about the borla exhaust yet but the only time there’s drone on my solo performance exhaust is when it goes into 4 cylinder mode but when you switch to tow/haul mode it stays in 8 cylinder mode so no drone then

I have the afe mach force cat back. It too drones quite a bit, mostly 1500-1800 rpm range. I usually lock it in 8th using the gear selector to disable mds.

I heard good things about the Magnaflow 19200 full catback (muffler with resonator) but I don't want the chrome tip on my Power Wagon. I know I can change that with getting it powder coated. I love the Borla exhaust and it already has the black tip. Had one on my 2020 Rebel, and it did drone pretty good while towing. Now that could have been from the duel exit and bouncing the sound back off of the camper. So my guess is the side exit on the 2500 would be better while towing. Hope someone can chime in on the Borla 140801BC with experience while towing.

I had a borla touring on my 2020 1500 sport 4 x 4. No drone at all and it sounded real good. I understand the S type is very loud. It had the 5.7 hemi

I have one and it fits just fine. No drone at all, at any speed, even when towing. Only hear it when accelerating. At cruise, it doesn't really sound different than stock.

Mbrp stainless with helmholtz flow master custom fab.

So yesterday, I emailed Borla about an S Type for my '22 6.4L. Had one on my '19 5.7 and loved it. Can't stress that enough. Anyways, was thrilled to get this reply this morning. Screenshot 2022-01-10 15.52.51.png

Is the '22 model different from the 19-21 models? If the same, PN 140801 fits just fine.

Don't know about any changes for the '22. Don't feel like throwing $1200 at it to find out. I'll wait till the put out the new S Type in March.

Had the Atak on my ‘17 F-150 w/5.0 and loved the sound! Neighbors hated the cold start in winter (live in a condo). Only thing I didn’t like was when I towed my toy hauler camper and going up hill. Dang that sucker was loud under load. Would love to get a S type for my 75th PW. Just wonder how loud it would be under load. I live in East Tennessee and just about any where we go east requires going over 1 or 2 mountains.

Fingers crossed. Just sent an email also. I live just down the road from their factory and have a friend who works there. They installed the Atak on my 150 and got a substantial discount on it. Then I traded the 150 for my 75th PW.
Can’t beat Borla.

I'm planning to go Flowmaster since they are local. Cat Back dual exhaust, but I plan to have it modified so the ends are tucked in behind the bumper for clearance.
