Aux Switches

i have a 2020 2500 6.4. My toggle switches are tow haul, traction control, and park rr. I don’t see that combo on the list. Would anyone know a part number for that switch combination?

So I have found the switch set I need but it’s in a 2022. Does anyone know if it will be irk on my 2020? This is the picture of what I have and what I need. A269D9B9-2E43-408E-BE7B-F4D67AE8386E.jpeg36D1A63C-91C6-4C6C-9AC4-47C922C4100C.jpeg

All. I was able to locate the part number for the Tow/Haul, Traction Control, Front Parking Sensor, Rear Parking Sensor with the 6 aux switches. The part number is 68476024AB.

That's the one I need! Just ordered it so we'll see if it ever comes in.

I got mine in a week. I found a site that was able to get it even though my local dealer said it was national back ordered. Apparently the 19 and below have a different number. The 21 which is where I got this number and aligns with my truck is a different number and I found one for the 22 which is also a different number. Guess they wanted to make it hard for us to add it.

Hello all,

Newer member here and this is my first post,

I was looking into the Aux switch system for my 2021 Powerwagon. I know I do not have an Aux PDC, and based on reading this thread in the entirety, I know trying to buy the harness, Aux PDC and Switches is not the easiest or cheapest approach (thanks mostly to @Jimmy07 's input on this thread). however in my research, I also found Auxiliary Switch Kit - Mopar (82216449AB) for the 2022 1500DT and TRX. Reading the instructions, it would appear that this kit would get me an OEM PDC, with Aux switches and includes wiring to bypass the X/Y 125 Connector. I know that this is not designed for HD applications and I would likely have to Fab a bracket for it to mount in the stock HD location, but if it gives me the capabilities with OEM(ish) plug and play parts im all for it, (I know there are third party options galore for cheaper). my question is if i am missing any Gotchas with this kit? IE what kind of switch panel does it come with (which option keys ect). Has anyone had any experience with this kit? Is there any way to find out the PNs that come with this kit to make sure the switches and what aux PDC come with it?

Thank you in advance and appreciate reading everyones experience within this thread.

I found this YouTube video somewhere about 15 pages back in this thread posted by another member to be VERY helpful. It explains how to install the AUX switches and tap into what you have already:

Do you still have the number for the 2022 with tow/haul, traction control, front and rear park assist? Or does anyone know if the 2021 switch quoted above will work in a 2022 2500?

Sorry. I do not recall the P/N

Got my Aux switches installed and used T-taps to connect a 6-wire cable to run into my engine bay like in the video above. Enabled the Aux settings in my EVIC using AlphaOBD and they show up now in my Commercial settings. However, I do not have the Aux PDC like others here have posted, so I bought a pre-wired fuse/relay box from Amazon (pic attached). Once I get it installed, do you think the Aux settings in the EVIC will work or will it be dependent on what I hook to the relay box I buy? Just curious since I bypassed the XY125 connector and there's nothing already pre-wired for the Aux PDC. Obviously, I'll have to play around with it once I get it and install it to see, but just wondering if y'all had an educated guess. Thanks to everyone here who contributed to the knowledge base.

I already did that part. Was asking if I'll be able to control them through the EVIC even though I don't have the aux PDC.
The aux PDC is the relay/fuse box, which you have as an aftermarket item.
Are you meaning to ask if you can control them through the EVIC without having the switch bank with aux buttons? If so, then no. All the EVIC settings do is program how you want those buttons to behave.

No, I have already changed out the piano keys for the aux switch bank. I tapped into the brown wires in the back at the plug and ran the 6-wire cable out of the firewall into the engine bay. I've already enabled the Aux menu in Commercial Settings via AlphaOBD and the security bypass cable. I'm just waiting on the aftermarket fuse/relay box to come tomorrow. My question is if the aftermarket fuse/relay box will act any differently than the OEM AuxPDC. Will I be able to use the Commercial settings to select either battery (always on) or key, and will I be able to select the type of button I want (push on, push off vs momentary)? I was just looking for some insight from someone who did an aftermarket fuse/relay box and used the OEM aux switches like I'm doing.

Yes, the commercial settings have nothing to do with the physical fuse box, relays, wiring, etc. Their only job is to dictate how each switch on the switch bank behaves. You can have no aux PDC at all, and the switches will still behave how they’re told via commercial settings.

Perfect, that's what I was hoping. Thanks.

I've finally got all of the parts to complete this install, I think. I have installed the new instrument module with the appropriate switches and the aux switches, and it still works correctly.

The questions I have, are how do I de-pin the wires in the connector on the back of the switch panel? (@Jimmy07 posted this picture of the connector Post in thread 'Aux Switches' https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/aux-switches.97/post-86102). I removed the red plate, and tried all of the pushing and pulling I could, but couldn't figure out where to press to unlock the connectors.

And the second related question, is there a trick to removing the connectors on the back of the radio module? It looks like there a button to release a catch on the "top", which has a red lock in it. It's a weird angle and difficult for me to see how it clips or releases. I'll try to get a picture of the connectors if that's helpful, but I am curious if there's any tricks to remove those connectors, and de-pin them as well.
Thanks
