I worked on setting up the Aux Switches on my 3500 Longhorn. Installed the 6 pin connector in the cab next to the parking brake. This activates a battery and ignition circuit that is item F in the two drawings below. F terminates with two blunt wires at :eft (Drivers Side) Rear of Frame. So after 20 or so minutes on my back under the truck I don't see any pair of blunt wires and not really sure what is considered the 'rear frame'. If anyone else has a location for these two connections I'd appreciate the help. Want to use the battery circuit to power a Retrax Pro XR powered cover.

So here's an update. To get to the two wires at position F, at least on my 3500 Longhorn, you need to drop the spare tire in order to get to the harness. Although the guide book that comes with the Aux Wire kit says they are blunt wires there is a connector on the end. Looking towards the back of the truck the wire bundle runs across the top of the bumper. F wires coming out of the bundle are to the right side of the middle area and folded back towards the passenger side of the truck. They apparently are clipped to something above the wire bundle. I ran out of time to get photos or try to get the connector loose and visible. I had this confirmed at the dealership yesterday when I was in for service due to a Exhaust System needs Service warning message over the weekend that seems to have been a false message.

By chance anyone can post pictures of the location of these blunt wires. I looked for over an hour with no luck. Thanks in advance.

I am currently working on a YouTube video and PDF document explaining the AUX wiring system. I have been holding off on publishing the video or document because I was hoping to find the blunt wires so I could include them in the video. Please post pictures when you can.

Here is a picture of the blunt wire location on a chassis cab which is exactly where the upfitter wiring diagram says it should be.

I just looked for the wires you described, but I can't find them. The only blunt wire I found is the white/violet blunt wire that is labeled as "L 56 WT VT STOP LAMP SIG CHMSL FEED" at location M. I really hope you can find the BATTERY/RUN wires at location F.

I still think they are blunt cut wires.

I seem to recall someone had a post showing a (garbage) tap their bed cap installer put on a pickup for the third brake light and he was asking about the other two wires. Those wires were near the passenger side of the frame.

They are also shown as blunt cut wires on the pickup builders sheet, and part of the harness that includes the stop lamp wire. However, this contradicts what @thestuarts is seeing there.

@ghaynes754 are you referring to this connector? If so, that is for the Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System receiver

Thats not a chasis cab photo, thats my truck and my hand. lol

LOL!

Well, I can't remember where I found that picture, but at the time I put it in a folder for chassis cab.

What is the year, make, model of your truck?

Never mind. I can see your truck specs in your signature on my PC (but not on my phone, weird).

The two blunt end wires at the rear of my 2020 3500 are on top of the spare, driver's side. I just reached up on top of the spare tire and pulled them into view.

I searched up there all along the wiring harness with no luck. Is it possible to share a picture?

Has anyone with a 2019 found the red/white and pink/orange blunt wires?

I removed my spare tire and searched for at least an hour. I used a mirror on a stick to look behind corners. I asked a mechanic neighbor to find the wires, but he couldn't.

I misspoke. Not on the driver's side. They are on top of the rear tire, passenger side. Here's pic of the two in question plus one other that I don't know what it is used for.

I'm in the same boat. I got so fed up looking for them I ran my own wires from the aux 2 port back to the rear frame so I could install bed lights.
I can see the two wires feeding into the large plug above the spare tire. But, I followed the whole trunk to the end with no luck.

That third blunt wire is probably the white/violet wire labeled as "L 56 WT VT STOP LAMP SIG CHMSL FEED" in the upfitter diagram.

The red and pink wires are nowhere to be found on my 2019.
