I am currently in the process of installing AMP power steps on 2025 RAM 3500 quad cab 4 dr 6.7L Cummins. My question is where do you connect the 2 pin plug to under the dash?
There is no green splice block to connect to that I could find. This is the last connection I need to make, as it takes the door ajar signals to extend/retract the steps.
This is a white and blue wire w/white 2 pin female plug. Thanks in advance!

Pull your head light switch panel (where your left knee would be if you were sitting). It pops right out for you to use as a “window”. You’ll see a green CAN block. Plug it into any open spot on the block closest to you.

Nope, those don’t exist on the 2025’s, it’s a different CAN architecture. Pre-2025 amp steps won’t ever be able to work on the 2025’s.
They just released a kit to work on the 2025 1500’s, and I’m sure the same messages they figured out for those will work on the HD Rams, but I’m sure they’ll want to get their hands on a 2025 HD Ram to verify, so it’ll take some time to come out with a kit.

Has anyone figured this out I’m also putting on the same boards with the same problem. I have looked everywhere for the block it doesn’t exist.

Subbing to see what others come up with. I just spoke with Amp and they said they don't plan to offer anything until 1 year from now at the soonest.

It’s way different architecture

I went Mopar power steps on my 2025 this week.

Installation was pretty straight forward. Here is what it took

Got it worked out yesterday.

2025 is a whole different can of worms with PROXI system.

The canbus is locked down and the Mopar power steps I installed wouldn’t function until programmed. Here is the last page in the installation manual.

These trucks do not have a gateway module in traditional places. They also don’t have star connectors like they used to.

In the PROXI format, all modules have to communicate and agree. Alfaobd will not work, nor JSCAN from what I see.

Here was the resolution:

1. Dealership has to log into dealer connect and request the power step RPO be added to the BCM file for the vin.

2. Next, a technician performs a “PROXI alignment.” This is uploading the new BCM file to the truck’s BCM via the Mopar Pod/witch interface dongle. It also syncs all vehicle modules together in harmony.

3. The truck sits about 20 mins while the BCM does its thing and then recognizes its internal RPO code for the side steps. At this point, the steps icon shows up on the dash, but is greyed out and non functional.

4. A second PROXI alignment is performed now that the BCM knows to look for the new side step module that was installed with the steps. This configures the new step module and again harmonizes all modules in the truck.

5. Last step is to drive the truck over 16km/hr. As soon as you hit that speed, the step icon on Uconnect flashes blue and you are done. The steps are now fully functional like factory.

Mopar steps were the other option I'm considering. What'd your dealer charge you for all the flashing? And what trim you got? I've got a Big Horn with 8.4" Uconnect. I noticed the factory trucks only offered the steps with the 14" screen. Not sure if that'd be an issue?

Only cost me $30 cash.

The install isn’t hard, just time consuming. You have to take the front of the dash apart because the step module bolts to the frame of the dash near the glove box.

I have a 2025 big horn with large screen, but the process is independent of the screen. It’s your BCM that makes it compatible.

Typical dealer install is around $1,700-$1,900. You can save that money by dust installing yourself. Then take to them to flash.

Just know, on 2925’s they won’t work at all until the flash, aka proxi alignment

Did you figure out where to connect the blue and white wire? I have a 2025 2500

I removed the Amp steps from my 2022 in hopes to install on my new 2025. I called Amp and ordered all the required parts. The 2022 wiring harness with the can bus plug will not work because the can bus blocks are no longer there. A new harness, a new smart controller and new obd port plug is required.

Are you saying they sent you those 3 new items? Or just stating that's what is needed? Because I've contacted them nearly a dozen times and have gotten no where with them. They told me they won't be working on this till the end of next summer at the soonest. Their customer service f***ing sucks.

Yes, I have everything they said that I needed for use on my 2025. I’m only waiting on reinforcement brackets and nutsert kit to come in from them.

Wow. Those lying sacks of s**t.
The XL steps went on sale for $1600 and now I wish I'd have bought them. But had no idea if I'd ever be able to make them work. Thanks for the parts list.

No problem, they have the entire Amp steps kit available for 2025 Ram 6.7’s.

I wonder what the difference is with the Powerstep XL vs what you got? The XL is still listed as incompatible. Best I could gather, the XL is the only step that gives nice rocker protection from gravel spray and also comes down further for lifted trucks. XL is listed at $2300 today. Just keep in mind they'll do over 30%-off sales. It can change daily on realtruck.

I’m not sure why it would matter if the are the standard or xl unless they use different motors and or connectors to the motors.

Just spoke with AMP. The 2025 XL steps should be here within the next 6 weeks. Part number should be 77365-01A. Forgot to ask if that's for a crew or mega. He said basically all 2025+ are now a "smart" series because of the new Atlantis system. If you wouldn't want to wait that 6 weeks, you could use @jake2544 's part numbers to build yourself a kit for the extra ~$400.

Good morning all,
for anyone wondering the AMP research power step plug n play kit PN: 76365-01A for 2025 WILL work for the 2026 as well! installed last night and working flawlessly.
