Aftermarket Off-Road Lighting Thread

I have 5 of these lights sitting in my garage from my 1500, and ive been wanting to put on a pillar lights. This helped me alot. I have been going back and forth debating about putting these on but looks like ill be going with the XL. The regular size looks way to small to me for such a big truck.

What's the purpose/benefit of the yellow lenses? Seems like they would filter/block the light.

Added some Baja Designs S2 pro wide cornering at the ditch light position. I started out with them angled outward ~15° and down 1°. They have a 42° wide throw. I’m not that good at math but I think 1° down will give me -1’ rise over 50’ run (I used an online rise/run calculator) so they should be highlighting the peripheral out pretty far

I’m open to suggestions of how to aim them but I will test them tonight.

I chose the s2 pro for their extremely low profile, I didn’t want big ol lights. I painted the S2 chrome brackets textured black because it closely matches powder coat and will cut down on glare off the chrome

I added them to my off-road light switch that runs the Baja Designs Squadron sports on the bumper (The Squadron SAE are in the fog position and normally on with headlights)

I went with moromoto brackets after shopping around because they were the most well thought out, in my opinion. They have rubber bumpers that squish up against the edge of the hood, they have wire retaining clips, and they’re slotted for ease of install. Marking the hood/hinge alignment before install is recommended. Worked out nicely.

I wanted to take wide angle pics but my phone doesn’t do well with night time and wide angle. You can’t see the whole angle but The peripheral light is really good. The lights could go a few degrees outward, I may try 5-10° more to see what it looks like

Normal low beams
Halogen housings with morimoto LEDs and Baja designs SAE fogs

I’m curious if these ditch lights cause wind noise that can be heard in the cab.

As my christmas gift to myself, Ive been planning to use those morimoto brackets and BD squadron racer pro spots with yellow lenses. I will be using the Aux 2 switch and moving my rear floods to Aux 3. I already have the yellow squadron pro (driving combo) pods in my foglight pockets. Adding the long range beams will provide a pretty nice flood of light from right in front of the truck to waaaay TF down the road.

What I really wanted was the KC flex era 3 because they don’t have chunky mounting brackets which makes them look really clean installed. But they’re a couple hundred bucks more than what I was budgeting.
The s2 pro is probably the smallest profile light that is useable in this application. The pro are a lot brighter than the sport I have in the reverse position

I bought a few products from F150leds.com when I owned Fords; are there any similar sites for Ram? I had LED strips that lit up above the running boards when opening doors or unlocking, and another that lit up the fender emblems when headlights were on. Any recommendations? TIA
