AEV front diff cover install

they are always out of stock, but I think maybe now he is waiting until he gets caught up a bit before taking further orders on them.
I have paid for my 2018 power wagon skid plate and waited 4 months to the day.. I have emailed and talked to Marcus Dethloff each month and each time told it will be another 2 to 4 weeks. I need itto run the desert as I am in my 70s and can not afford to break out there so I will wait. About 3 weeks ago was told I could get a refund or he would be caught up by the 14 of May. I told him I needed the plate. Somehow Im hoping he will have it done as I cant find another that is as capable. I am starting to have my doubts as this is the longest wait on anything in all my years.

Yes I will never order anything from him again. lots of lip service but that is about it.

My front and rear AEV covers came in. Like the other 2 people stated, the front cover drain plug is not tapped far enough into the cover. Drain plug sticks out too far for my liking. I will tap it more this weekend. Disappointed with my first AEV product.

I'm sure the plug is supposed to bottom out on the threads, but you can tell by the wear marks only 2-3 threads are engaging. I doubt that's AEV intention. If you flip the cover over and look at the back side of the hole you can see where the threads aren't tapped far enough.

Exactly the same issue I had. Put some Teflon tape on it and so far so good. Should not happen on such an expensive part.
