A/C Issues? Anyone else

I got mine back from the dealer today after having the TSB done for the A/C. Seems like a lot more airflow at a lower fan speed. Air is super cold immediately. Hard to tell as it was 50 outside. No squeaks or rattles. Under hood insulation also replaced as it kept falling down in the middle.

I dropped mine off today to have the TSB performed. Fingers crossed for no rattles and a normal system when I get it back.

Picked mine up earlier this week. Seems good with no rattles. I'll have to wait to see how effective as it hasn't been much past 32* here the last few days.

If I remember correctly, mine was ready in under 2 days. I believe it was the first one they did this recall to.

Mine is being done under the TSB right now. I will update when I get it back. If there is even 1 small scratch it's getting fixed. No doubt about that.

They had it today for diagnostic, plus they say 2 days for parts and labor. So 3 days total without my truck.

I just got mine back after having the TSB performed. It is 28° here so I haven't checked the AC yet. However with the heat on there is a smell of coolant.. anyone else noticed that?

Update:

I ran the AC and it is ice cold. Definitely fixed the issue.

Yes. Mine had a little coolant smell for a couple of days/ drives and has now completely gone away.

Mine has been in the shop for a week having the TSB performed. What's holding it up is the HVAC body itself. The one received in the kit was cracked so they had to order another and that one was cracked in same place. They ordered a 3rd one and it too was cracked in the same exact spot. The shop manager is now involved and they are trying to figure out what is happening. I'd like to think this an isolated issue but 3 straight cracked hvac housing assemblies in the same exact spot is indicative of a problem somewhere in the process

I forgot to ask when they did mine, but had anyone been able to get a side by side picture of the new vs old HVAC box?

Look like I have to make an appointment to have it repaired.

But first I need to rent a car for 3 days.

So, what do I need to ask for when I call my dealer tomorrow?

Give them the TSB#24-001-20...
The person I spoke to couldn't pull it up. They are supposed to have another service person look it up and call me back. I am always intrigued when things are on lock down like it's a secret.

UPDATE: The dealership called me back and is ordering the kit. They say there may be some parts that they can't re-use from my truck, but will not know until they have it apart. This will probably be a 3 day ordeal and this will be the first one they have done! He was confident that they could do the job and not have any issues so here's hoping to a much improved AC system to be ready for when some hot weather arrives. I will update as this happens. Thanks to this board for staying on top of this and helping get something done!

Just tested my a/c. It’s 53* outside and the vent temp is 56*-58*. But my build date isn’t in this TSB.

The TSB lists all the parts that have to be replaced in addition to the main HVAC box.

Tech I spoke to said there were a few items that they would not know if they could be re-used until the had them off. This could be code for we will need to order any parts we break prior to re-assembly.

I went to dealer for 2 recall service, I gave the lady the TSB and she just noted on paper "the customer claim A/C is not cool"

After finish they told me A/C is working, I turn off the A/C, put the temp to a lower one but won't start the A/C, then let him feel the temp in 2 vents, it's 60 outside but the air is warm.
He then told me the tech will check the required parts and will call me for truck a overnight stay to test if it's necessary to change some parts.

There's no loaner car, is it normal?
